Serious nominees only please!

I want to find out more about the different politicians running for President. But only the serious nominees only please.
Hillary Clinton
Barack Obama
John Edwards
John McCain
Rudy Guiliani
Mitt Romney
Fred Thompson

I think those are all the top runners who are getting at least numbers in the two digits, so let's please stick with those. I want to know what is GOOD and what is BAD about each one running, I want specifics if you can. I don't want to know that you aren't voting for Mitt, just because he's a Mormon, or not for Guiliani, because he's Italian or anything like that. I don't want people's biases, I just want facts on why you like or dislike someone...
This way I can better educate myself and learn more about the politicans...
Thanks!

Allinaugust, I was beginning to think that no one wanted to touch this one with a ten foot pole... I really am just wanting to learn about the presidential candidates... I like Obama, but not sure why, and I don't know that he has that much experience, or what his experience is in. I also like Romney, because he has private sector experience and govt. experience, and he has experience in taking care of trouble... People can correct me if I am wrong, but the Big Dig in Mass. was way over budget when he got in to office and roads that weren't even finished were not safe... From what I understand he took care of that, also I would like to know more about the health care system he did for that state... Seems to be more of a democratic thing to do, not republican... He also took care of the olympic scandal...
That's what I like about Romney.
I really liked McCain back in 2000? I think it was that he was going to run, then lost to Bush, but now I'm not so sure. Maybe it's because he's been in the news so much that I haven't liked what he's said... I can't pinpoint it though.
Hillary has plenty of exprience, 8 years of being behind the scenes of the white house, but does it qualify her? She's only got one term in office, like Barack? Sorry, just rambling, these are my thoughts...

When is the Presidential election? Isn't it in November 2008? We moved in the past few years and I've gotten mixed up. Thanks!

Each one of these people should have their own website. If you go, they normally list their creds and even get into detail on what bills they have voted for and what programs they support.

The Washington Post also has a good page up about all the candidates...

I know they all have a page on where they stand, but I want the information they don't tell people. McCain is going to tout the fact he's a POW but not that he has strained family relationships and his kids don't speak to him... Here's more about Romney... Romney Says He'd Give Presidential Salary to Charity, and as governor, he accepted a salary of $1. I wish my gov. would do the same instead of giving himself a payraise!

Well, if Hillary is on the Democratic ticket I will vote for her. I believe that she is intelligent, caring, and will take our country in a new direction. Here are some exerpts from her website:

As president, Hillary will:

Make health care affordable and accessible to every American.
Reduce the cost of energy and make us energy independent.
Expand access to affordable, high-quality child care.
Make college more affordable.
Protect families from predatory lenders and help them avoid foreclosures.
Increase the minimum wage.
Create good jobs with good wages to expand the middle class.
Balance the federal budget so we don't pass today's massive debts to the next generation.
Reward savings, protect pensions, and provide greater retirement security.

Hillary has consistently supported tax relief for middle-class families. She has supported permanently ending the marriage penalty, extending the lower-income tax rates, providing a deduction for college tuition, and providing a refundable child tax credit and adoption tax credit.

Hillary opposes President Bush's plan to escalate the war and proposed, along with Senator Robert Byrd, legislation to end authority for the war in Iraq.
