I'm 6'...I like it sometimes, and sometimes not. Pants, skirts, dresses are killer. I still wear high heels, even tho my DH is shorter. Poor guy had to stand on a block of wood for the wedding pics!

I'm about 5' 9". I wish I were 2 inches shorter though. When I wear my heels, I'm just a bit taller than dh....not that he minds, but I always wished I were not quite so tall. It's not always easy finding jeans that are long enough.

I'm 5'8". While shopping, shorter people will often ask me to reach something on the top shelf for them. Then they'll say they wish they were taller, or how nice it is to be tall.

5'8" and 129 pounds Size 8 Tall.

DH is 5'7", so I don't wear high heels.

I agree... pants / jeans are killers!!!

for those that are tall, have you bought at Tall Women's Clothes by Long Elegant Legs - Clothing for Tall Women and Tall Womens Clothes before? I bought 1 pair of jeans there ($45), and I had to "adjust" my size, because they come in the right length!!!

(Usually I have to get a size bigger so that I get the right length... with this company, I have to adjust the size [waist] and know that I WILL get the right length...)

It is very strange to be around so many cyber-women (are there men voting too???) who are the same height as me (5'8") or taller. I really do generally feel like the talles/biggest woman when I enter a room or any group of people. This is fun!

I work with a woman who is over 6' tall. Althought it's not like she doesn't know she's tall, she is very sensitive about her height and comments relative to it. It would hurt her feelings to be called a giant or any such similar term (amazon, etc) Just something to be aware of.

My both my sisters are over 6' danielle is 6'1 and brook is 6'4 and it doesn't bother either one of them. My grandmother is 4' 9 and she is referred to very loving as the midget.

I am terribly sorry to anyone who was offended my my midget or giant comment.

I was calling myself an Amazon woman because I'm not only tall but also *fluffy*. I'd probably be offended if someone else called me anything but perfect, though.

I am always harder on myself then I would ever be on anyone else. I don't see others flaws anywhere near as badly as I see my own perceived *flaws*. If I call myself an Amazon woman, it is demeaning but if I called someone else that, it would probably be with admiration. Weird, huh?

Hey, no big deal, just telling something that I learned as a result of managing this worman. Being short - but not too, too short , I always admired the height. It never really dawned on me how awkward a woman might feel at this height. I guess that we can all be sensitive to our "flaws"...er, differences. Since I'm sooooo old, I try to help others learn from my mistakes by pointing them out. I wanted to be perfect, but it just didn't pan out. LOL.

Up until yesterday I WAS 5'8 1/2", but the doctor told me I'm now 5'7 1/4".

Doesn't that sound wrong? I mean, I had 3 kids, so I think my arches must have flattened out somewhat, but I don't think they were ever THAT archy...

I signed in as between 5'8" and 5'9", simply because that's how I've always identified myself up until yesterday.
