Womenly question about Instead...

Anyone have any experience with these, Instead Softcup? I looked them up on drugstore.com and most of the comments are favorable, I'm just leary.

I'm particularly interested in it working and having sex while using it. I've been having some menstration problems. I'm not sure what's going on but I have been having a normal period or spotting constantly for a little over 2 months. Honestly, I need to have sex. I do have a Dr. appointment set but they can't get me in til August. I'll in completely insane by then.

I've even trying taking benadryl to see if that would help, if you know what I mean.

Thanks for any advice.
Laura

I don't know what the product *Instead* is, but I used menstrual cups in the 70's and loved them.
If anyone has info on where to buy similar products now, I'd love to hear from you. Have 2 dd's who could benefit from em.

I use it. My friends think I'm a whacko! LOL I use it when my flow has slowed down, the first couple days I still use a tampon. They are extremely comfortable and if you don't have a problem actually putting your fingers up inside yourself for insterton and removal, its not a big deal. I've never had sex while wearing one....sorry I can't help you there.

I buy them at Target or Walmart, they are usually up high by the tampons.

I went to the website:Menstrual Cup, Feminine Hygiene Products - Instead SoftCup

Instead Softcup

found this info

Wearing INSTEAD® Softcup® during your period, you and your partner can enjoy "clean sex"and he won't even feel it's there! (Note: the INSTEAD® Softcup® is NOT a contraceptive!)

I thought it was really hard to get into place right, though you can wear it during sex. Honestly, think just putting a towel down works better.

Momziller, you can get Keepers, Mooncups or Diva Cups now. The first is rubber, and I've had one for about ten years (15 or 16when I started using it). The other two are silicone, which seems to be the most popular option now. There are a ton of places to get them online, though some health food stores, and less creepy sex shops also have them.

I love this product and have been using it for almost 7 years now. Nobody told me about them but, I was at Walgreens one day and saw them. It did take me awhile to get the hang of it but, I feel they are well worth the price and time it takes to learn how to use them. Yes you can wear them during sex and they are comfortable. My DH is not one of those guys that wants to have sex during that time of the month but, with these he feels like he is more protected from the , AHEM, mess.

Years ago, I worked at Walgreens in the Cosmetics dept. We were always getting coupons to get stuff FREE, which I guess was a great idea. How can you sell something if you have no idea about it. Anyway, this was one of the things we got.

I didn't like it. Digging it out was totally gross, no thanks. I guess it's like using a diaphragm??? I didn't care for it AT ALL. I did see these, btw, in Walgreens today, top shelf by the tampons. I think they were $7.99???

Because this board could easily be accessible to children, we have to watch how far sexual topics go. If someone has a question on a topic where the answers could be quite graphic - especially for children - maybe those that have answers could take the discussion to PM's or emails? Just a thought.

While no one is trying to come down hard on folks, we do have to be careful for the little ones out there, both your own and those that happen upon the board. This is very much a family oriented board and some topics just have to be approached very carefully.

Thanks for understanding! (or trying to, at least. )
