Bottles of Pepsi Ice Cucumber are seen on display at a convenience store in Tokyo this week. Japanese are staying cool as a cucumber this summer with the new garden-variety soda.

Maybe in Japan this is something that would work. I would imagine they did some sort of research before making it/putting it out there.

I can't see how it would EVER fly here, yuck!

There is a Coke ice cool station thing in Epcot/Disneyworld that features the many different flavors that are served throughout the world. Different countries/cultures have decidely different tastes....it's so funny to watch people literally spit out some of them.

I'd be willing to try this one. I like cucumbers. LOL

That have that at the Coke headquarters here in Atlanta too!!

At the end of the tour, you get to try all the different "flavors" of Coke or that Coke makes. That's how I found out Coke made Fanta! I never knew that.

Egads some of the flavors are just AWFUL, LOL! cj, when you said different cultures/countries have decidedly different tastes, you got THAT right.

I'd try it, love cucumbers. I did read that article the other day and it said it was only going to be sold in Japan.

My husband just insisted we get one. So, we've ordered a $15 soda. I'll let y'all know how it is.

I would definitely try it and save the bottle for our Christmas tree!! We look for products like this when we are traveling. We loved the orange Coke in Belgium and the potato chips in England are hysterical- lamb and mint, charcoal broiled steak, shrimp, among others. Our Christmas tree is loaded with funny things from around the world- trainer chopstcks from Japan, a tiny Coke light can from Italy, an enormous skeleton door key from England, a metal seal of authenticity from sausage in Italy, etc.

That is a really neat idea. I love all the little things we buy from our trips and I can never think off how to display them. I don't like knickkncaks laying around so, our stuff usually ends up in a memory box. This is nice a way to remember these trips and not have them out all year long. Thanks for the tip!!
