My husband brought some of this rum back from the Cayman Islands. We've "disposed" of it all and I can't seem to find it in any local stores. Has anyone ever seen it here in the states?

I vividly remember when I was a kid.

My grandfather, father and uncle sitting on the front porch, all enjoying big black dick. It's very expensive from what I recall.

I knew when I grew up, I was going to get some of my own.

I never did find it. I looked for it in Jamaica ( The only tropical place I have been) but didn't find it there, either- funny, you'd think they'd HAVE plenty of it in Jamaica.

My husband had it in the Bahama's once and he said he loved how smooth it was.

I am going to Cancun next month, maybe I'll find it there?

I tried out some Jamaican Rum last month and it was pretty good, my neighbor's DD went for her honey moon and brought it back.

Too funny! My dh just got back for the Bahamas, he takes fishing trips there several times a year, weather permiting. So find a fisherman and ask him to pick you up some on his next trip over.

There are a few e-mail addresses available on the website, perhaps you could contact one or more of them to see if they could ship you some of the rum. Would probably be expensive, but worthwhile depending on how bad you need it....

Have you seen the reply given on the "instead" thread as to why it was closed??? I don't understand a lot of things in regards to some of the posts here, such as why they get closed, moved, etc. If parents are worried about their kids reaching a "sex" sight, um, how about you monitor your kid while he/she is on the computer? OH wait, how about a program/filter that blocks such sights??? And, exactly how many kids are on this sight????

Anyway.....back to the OT. I have never heard of this rum. I asked DH, who loves a good rum, and he's not heard of it either. He's going to ask around at work, and hopefully someone will know where to get it. It is a rather interesting name, that's for sure.

My husband and I don't drink but we were in the Keys very recently for the first time and that stuff was everywhere!! Friends of ours that went with us had to or three bottles of the stuff by the end of the week. I tried some in my OJ and it was very good. I think all of the names on these bottles are so funny, not only is it humerous its a great marketing tool. And I think you couldn't get around the name, Suz didn't name it, she's just trying to find it!
