I come from a large family. I have 60 some first cousins on my father's side. My family is mostly in WI and I live in Maryland. I just called my sister and she told me to look at the Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune online. One of my younger cousins has a child that is missing. He is autistic. The family thought he was playing in the basement but could not find him Thursday night. I have not seen this cousin for 25 years but I still feel bad.

I just checked again. He did not make it. They found his body about a mile from his house. My prayers go out to his parents, siblings, my aunt and uncle.

I am so sorry to hear about this truly am. Will keep the whole family in my thoughts and prayers

Dont want to sound callous during this time of grief , but if more counties and states offered or made people aware they offered the Project Lifesaver (Project Lifesaver International Main) this type of tragedy wouldnt happen to disabled children or adults or elderly people with dementia. My friend uses this program for her two Autistic Children and it has been a lifesaver more than once when her one son went wandering out of the house he can get out darn quick without being seen.

Truly I am saddened by your families loss.

Thank you for the information. I will gladly pass on this information to other people. As I said before, I come from a large, large family. This aunt and uncle and set of cousins, I was close to when I was a kid. I visited them every summer. The father of the boy that died was the youngest of 7 with a large age gap between the older and younger cousins. Added to the fact that I live in another state, I was not always keep up with all the cousins and their children. I still feel bad for the family, my aunt and uncle (who are both 80).

So sorry for your loss.
