Any Fashion Savy Ladies here ? Need to ask a few questions.

I've been looking and doing some updating on my clothing

I have a pair of skorts I LOVE !!. But I'm not for sure if they are what people call"low rise". In my day we called them Hip Huggers LOL. The ban sits right on my hips just below my belly button. (I CANNOT STAND to have anything on my stomach due to having 6 C-Sections ) I want to buy some Jeans that wear like this also. Ive been looking on Ebay and found a ton of "LowRise" Jeans and shorts. Is this the same are "hip Huggers " ? and If so do they size the same as a reg pair of pants ? I wear a size 18 At times I can wear a 16..
TIA

2nd Question. I'm pretty top heavy and I'm wanting to buy a few push up bra with Air Pad removable. I cant find a demi bra in my size in the WHOLE WIDE net LOL.. I have spotted a few push ups on Ebay however, they are some really funky colors ( ) I wear a 42 C,42D Can wear a 44C and 44 D really depends on how and whom makes the bra. Does anyone know of a 'True fitting site that sells Push Up w/ removable air pads ?
TIA

Low-rise jeans are often REALLY low. Like, you could wear them if you were pregnant low. You'd want jeans that sit below the waist, and I'd try Amazon, if just to look up descriptions and reviews. They had some Lee ones that were quite popular, but I don't know about the size range. I'm guessing you've tried Lane Bryant for bras? They don't usually mention it, but every bra I've bought there has come with air pads, though I don't use them. Frederick's of Hollywood does more interesting bras in a good size range, and those typically come with foam pads.

Low-rise can be pretty low and may not be what you're looking for. I like hip huggers because my waist is not my best asset (and because I can wear a smaller size in them ) but can't wear low-rise or ultra low-rise at all. Because jeans and women's clothing in general can vary so much, I'd suggest shopping and trying on at the retail store to find which brands/styles/sizes are right for you first. Then, look for them on ebay or other online places.

No advice on the bras. I wear a 38DD and avoid anything that adds padding to what I've already got. LOL

Check Old Navy for jeans, they have 3 or 4 different rises, from extra low to waist & in between. What I love about Old Navy is they carry SHORTS. When you are 4'11 1/2 its almost impossible to find a lower rise jean with a short length!. I can buy in the petite dept but they are usually what my kids call "Mom Jeans" that come so high up at the waist they are right under your bra.

As far as bras go I can't help you either. I'm a 40 D/DD and I'm always lookin to strap those suckers down....not push them up....LOL. However, have you tried Avenue or Lane Bryant? I can't buy my clothes there because I'm too petite but I can buy bras there and they have a large variety of styles.

One thing I've learned (the hard way) is that when ordering jeans online - ask for the rise measurement. That way you can measure them up against the skorts you have and like at home. Low rise means different things to different companies.

Ok, there is no way to say this without sounding rude, but It is NOT my intention.

I am a size 16, so I can talk to you chub club to chub club.

It is MY opinion that a size 18, especially a 'top heavy' one should really not be wearing low rise or hip hugger jeans.

Why? Because you treat the world to your muffin top.

I don't want people to see ME like that, and I certainly don't want to LOOK at other people's.

Now, you may not CARE about looks, but about comfort, but you asked about fashion savvy. It is not fashionable for us chunky girls to look like sausages squeezed into casings.

Again, Just my Very humble opinion.

LOLL CICI.
I don't have any intentions of wearing the low rise jeans with a HALF SHIRT lol... It's for comfort I'm looking for. I have had 6 C-Sections and when you wear pants or jeans for that matter over the scar it can hurt. The only place my scar seems to hurt me is right under my belly button I would say about 2 inches below it. My last baby ( 4 year old ) I had all my old scar tissue removed so my scar is very thin but can get very painful at times when i wear "Jeans"...

As far as the Photos go, those girls are wearing hip huggers thats
A. too small for their body
B. have their shirts rolled up to show off their tattoo's

I have a Skorts I wear all the time thats made just like the jeans in the picture , I wear a nice bottom long spaghetti strap shirt with it. You DON;T see my Stomach unless I raise my shirt up. to which BTW I don't plan on doing LOL..

Thanks everyone. BTW I have checked with lane Bryant BTW I love their clothing it's about all the shirts I wear. ( Love their thin strap tops with the Smooth Built in Bra ).. And I had no clue their bras came with removable air pads.

For the push up bra, I have some really nice dressy low cut shirts that just don't look right with a strapless bra, It looks as if I'm "Hanging to my knees" LOL When I put it on with my strapless bra. this is why I'm looking for the push up bra so I can wear the shirts and not feel as if my top is sitting down to my knees..

Again thanks everyone.

Personally, I wouldn't order low rise. Those are something you really need to try on in the store. Low rise can vary in inches. Some will suit you, others won't.

I really think your best bet would be to go try on different brands and sizes at the store and write down what you like and the exact syle......so if you want to order online or ebay you know exactly what you are getting....if you haven't every tried the specific brand and styles on it's really hard to know how they will fit and they all vary so much these days....there is no tried and true size....

G2S2, I would highly recommend checking out the Mossimo jeans at Target. I wear a 12 but they have their jeans in the ladies' department and they are cut for women, not juniors. I LOVE LOVE LOVE their mid rise stretch jeans. I have owned Michael Kors, DKNY and I swear that the Mossimo fit and wear just as well. They are less than $30 a pair. It is a good place to start and see how they fit at least.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions on going into the stores for a true fitting.
I have not wore anything like this since I was a teenager early 20's. I wasn't for sure if the low rise was the same thing as what I have always called hip huggers. Like you beachratz my Skorts are the BEST pair i have ever worn for comfort.. I love the way they don't really "touch" my stomach the ban is just below my belly button about 2 inches or so.
I'm long waisted ( or so I have been told ). So even tho I'm a size 16/18 I'm not really a belly roll LOL. KWIM ? I'm losing weight now, Lost about 20 lbs so far Down from a size 20 to a size 18, Funny tho when the size 18 is worn for a few hrs they become too big for me, But I can fit into a size 16 but its the better brand of clothing that's a size 16.

And thanks a TON beachratz I didnt know this about Target, I stopped buying clothing at Wal-Mart because it wasted money , they DON'T last a season. I've been buying Lane Bryant and Style and Co for my tops and Levi's or THF for the pants Of course all of this is off Ebay LOL....

I'm going to Target tonight to drop a RX off for my son while there is I can ( Having to take the kiddo's with me. I'll try to check these out and see if they will fit me.

Again thanks a ton. I usually don't buy myself clothing. I wait till I'm down to Nothing before I'll spend the money on me .. So this is kinda of like a treat/ and a congrats to myself for losing weight.
