I expect within 24 hours also. If not, I make a second call, not as nice as the first. The school district I work in has a written policy stating that any communication from a parent must be responded to within 24 hours. Even if the response is just to say that you are researching the problem/request and will get back to them. Of course, this is not possible if it is an email on the weekend. I would expect the same professional responding time from any PROFESSIONAL I am dealing with. If this is not followed through then my estimation of their professionalism begins to waver....

I expect a return call within 24 hours most of the time, but if I'm dealing with an emergency issue that requires quick action, then I expect the phone call withing 12 hours. I have a list of phone calls that I have a to make everyday, and I keep a log, marking date and time, and I do the same thing with phone calls received (not personal), and when I can't back to someday with needed info I still place a call letting them know just that so they know that I am working their issue..... I think he was extremely rude to you, and you might want to think about reporting that behavior.

Now just a thought here...and with the cavaet that I've never had any interaction with law enforcement in my 48 years whatsoever save for a few speed stops....but any possibility that the probation offficer might be setting his image of who's in charge here? Like I said...just a thought.... cj/ |
