but I cancelled last minute... I dont feel like having to go through the motions of a first date with a guy I dont know that well, and not that attracted to. When I accepted I thought hmmm Sat I'm free no kids, sounds like fun.....but now it sounds more like a pain.

SO WHAT'S your Sat. night plans?? My plans now are to do my hair (roots are showing) take a nice long hot shower, get some comfy pj's on and watch movies and cuddle with the doggy......But first I'm gonna go to town and get some groceries...I'm all out of Skim Milk for my coffee and refuse to use anything else..... WOOOOHOOO excting plans huh???


edited to add.... I hope he gets the mes. I cancelled dinner...He's supposed to pick up at 5:30 (its 5:07 now) i left a voice mail since he didnt answer the phone....EEEKKK maybe I should get ready just in case...

Our night sounds about as exciting. My DH is working out of town for a change, so its me and the teenagers. My college aged daughter arrived as a surprise with her weiner dog....lol. Guess I'll take them to dinner someplace cheap. Lordy I wish for the days they ordered off the kiddie menu!

We had dd's recital (last one) this afternoon. Tonight is baths for the kids, hunting for all ds's missing pacis, and trying to figure out what to watch on TV since the baseball game was on this afternoon.

You know what...he didn't show, never called to tell me he got the message until like 10 minutes ago and was kinda like "oh yeah, we can reschedule no problem...whenever you want just call me"... (the way it sounded was like he wasn't even gonna be here at 5:30 even if I didn't cancel)

I tell you the MORE and MORE I force myself to go out and meet new people (men) the more and more I realize I'm not gonna get what I want...HOW HARD is it for a guy to show a little interst other than ummm well you know (and 1 date dont even get them that!! Not even 2 dates) I am begining to believe most men over the age of 35 has some serious issues about women.

OK so what am I looking for......

A NICE guy...who has a job, goals in life, lives honestly

Can KNOW when to Joke around but know when its time to be serious too....

Can be a man and take lead once in awhile, NOT ALWAYS put all the decisions on me. I am SOOO tired of hearing this from men "WELL, what do you want to do??" "YOU choose the time, place....." Its kinda like the kiss of death for me now! I hear that and OFF I run...

Physically...TALLER than me, and they have to be able to see their own feet...LOL Not in perfect shape but not totally a health risk!!

I mean there are sooo many other little things....

Well, at least you know what you want and that's a great thing! AND your list is very realistic in my opinion! I say keep your list above and don't settle (like many folks do) and I think your prince will walk into your life when it's time. Otherwise, live your life as you wish and when it happens, it happens!

Its sounds like you've got it together. My husband works in a male dominated field and we take in the strays all the time. Of course they all want to be married to me..LOL but, they will have to settle. Just kidding. I am serious when I say hold out.....these guys are out here and looking but, you know that the fast and cheap usually get there first. Keep on keeping on and the right one will fall in your lap. I remember being the age when everyone wanted to marry me... LOL. All I can say is don't wait too long Val. The pickins get slimmer and slimmer as you reach your 40's. Sadly.

LOL I KNOW, thats what I'm afraid of....it seems now at early 33 (almost 34) pickins getting kinda slim.... Thats why one of my New Year resolution thing was to go out on more dates....

I was just telling an old school friend (actually he wasn't really a friend growing up, we just now started emailing...but we grew up together in school) Anyways, I was just telling him that just about ANYONE will get a first date with me...I'm not very picky when it comes to first dates...2nd dates not that hard either unless things went terribly wrong the 1st time...or no attraction, ect.... VERY VERY few make it to date #3.... Something just always isn't right and I dont feel that "magic" or something just bugs me about them
