What is this board to you?

I was just curious as to why we all come to this board.......

for me it's my adult talk time.....I talk to other adults throughout the day, but they all have expectations of me, and they are talking to me as someones mom, wife, or FRG leader.....Here I'm just me.

mabear I couldn't have put it better. This place is mine I don't have to be Miss Perfect or agree with the group I can be who I am. Without being judged. Without the looks of what did she just say. This board is my relaxation my time away from my family my little secret world of friends that I have come to enjoy and look forward to hearing from. This too is my counseling when I have a problem. I have loved this board since it started.

For me a place to post AWESOME deals and find GREAT deals! It's also a place to laugh and joke about things I can't talk with my other friends about..some of the questions you people come up with is amazing...very thought provoking!

To me this board is a bunch of people I have come to care about. I have a big family, lots of friends, yet I am drawn to this collective group! I enjoy your stories, opinions, questions, issues. I also love to be a part of it when I can.

Any time I come across an issue in my REAL life, I always say to myself: "Mycoupons.com/boards/cafe would have a FIELD day with this!

It's a big part of how I learned to get by int the US, both financially and culturally. Now, it's advice, direct, and indirect, but it's also entertainment. I didn't know how people bought groceries with coupons, or managed big families on next to nothing, and I'm learning.

The Cafe is to me:
A thoughtful pause to ponder different points of view on issues large and small
A lump in the throat from some of the wonderful things I've read here
A belly laugh at some of the escapades and stories related here
A sounding board for ideas and thoughts
This and much much more

Even though I don't post very often, I love to read about all the interesting topics people pose. I've taken away a lot of valuable information. I always say that if I have something I really need to know about, I can come to this board and always get an answer.

I refer to this website when talking to my friends about it as the site that I always go to with wonderful people all around the country that come together and help each other. As a matter of fact, I actually live in the town I live in now because of people on this board. About 5 years ago, I asked the question, "What are some family friendly towns in Palm Beach County, FL?" I got wonderful response back and after doing some research of my own, we ended up in Wellington. So, in essence, this board has changed my life and I am forever thankful for all of the wonderful people who responded to my question. We definitely were not steered wrong!!
