I was able to set aside $500 from DH's last pay, and hope to do the same thing over the next 2 week pay period.....means pulling the purse strings really tight, but we can do it.......trying to do this so when it comes time to start school shopping we won't have to dip into any savings. (saving now since DH is away) It's expensive, getting the kids set for back to school......5 of the 6 going this year, and 3 need new uniforms, all new shoes, backpacks, lunchboxes, and school supplies......

I'll join in too! I had some money stashed away, but we had to use it, I will try to replace it by the end of July, a $500 goal for me.

Winter is fast approaching and I don't have anything saved yet because of some extra expenses. I need to be really careful this year, it's a year of a lot of expenses.

I hope to net over $1000 in July with my business. Summer is slow season so that won't be any easy goal, especially with the July 4th holiday BUT I'm going to ramp up specials to try to push more sales. *Crossing Fingers* here... I am trying to pay down our 2nd so there is less pressure on DH

I need a goal. I would like to put at least $1000 toward my dental debt and put $100 a paycheck in savings and $25 in the xmas club a paycheck during July.

So....

$1000 toward dental debt
$200 in savings
$50 in xmas club by the end of July.

Good luck to everyone that is making financial goals!
Darlene

Are we all going to check back and keep up with this or are we just on our own?

I am going to continue to pay off the credit cards (the plan is to have them all paid by Nov.) and pay off our cruise. We are leaving for 5 days at the end of July and I want to have it paid off before we go, this way I can relax a bit more. I also want to start saving for my vacation to Alaska for Christmas. If I get the tickets before Sept. it shouls be about $1600 for us to go.

$600 into retirement savings (over and above DH's 401K).

It comes out automatically so we really don't have a choice! We have the money go into our Roth IRA's.
