How many loads of laundry do you do a day?

I just have to ask.....I'm getting very frustrated with our laundry pile.......it never goes away On good days I only have 2 loads a day, but on most days I have 4 loads, of course today I had 6, but part of that was because I took the kids outside to play in the puddles while it was raining.......

How many loads do you do on a daily or weekly basis?

Well, I have done about 30 so far this week. We're a family of 5 and are really dirty Kidding; I have decided to declutter and am ebaying, garage selling, etc to get some money for our Atlanta trip. Normally I would say 1-2 a day depending on how dirty we have been and what my children have gotten into and/or destroyed!

Family of 4

I do laundry once a week and do the following:
2 loads of darks
1 load of whites
1 load of towels/sheets
1 load exercise clothes/extra dirty clothes

That said, we are clothes hounds so we could really probably go 2-3 weeks without doing laundry for clothes

Wow! I do at least 2 loads a day and towels alone can take up one of those loads! We could go without doing it longer too, but I just won't let it pile up.

Yeah, if it was "piling up" (which to me is overflowing my bins) I would do it but we have big bins each segmented load goes into and they are in a closet so I don't have to look at it.

I also do as the other poster who said that if it is not dirty, I don't wash it... This is especially true for pants, jeans, shorts.

There is only 3 adults here and I cant keep up with it at least 3 loads a day. I hate this more then anything else because I have to go down in the basement to do it.

Two big ones a week for two people. One dark, one either white or mixed, since all our white clothes are DH's undershirts, socks, and undies. How many kids are involved in the extreme laundry situations?

My children fold their own clothes. I don't think that I'm one of the *extreme* laundry people though.

not enough.....
we have problems with our septic tank,so I do 2 medium loads a day.and now our dryer is eating our clothes.they get stuck in the rim inside and burn a hole in it....so I have to hang outside between rain showers...

I will have to go to the laundromat and be done!!!

There are five of us...At least one load per day...sometimes two. If I don't keep up with it, it turns into a huge mountain and is a real mess. ~Lisa

Who can count! My hubby wears scrubs to work so his is easy. My dd thinks if she touches it, it's dirty and my 3 yr old monkey-boy has recently mastered independent dressing but nowhere close to "putting away" the clothes he has put on and taken off. I can't remember the last time all my laundry was "done"

My oldest dd (aged 14yo) has taken over (cheerfully and willingly, surprisingly enough ;-) has taken over laundry duties) for our currently fam of 7, so I have *absolutely* no idea how many loads of wash are done each day.
But prior to this blessing, I did, at a minimum, 3 loads a day. We have many kids in our fam into sports, all teens at this point, and one serious bedwetter (who washes her own jammies and sleeping bag each day, hallelujiah! ;-)

I could do two loads a day and still not get caught up. We are a family of 4. I am doing laundry now. I have done 4 loads today, 3 loads yesterday and I still have about 3 loads left in the hamper. Plus I still need to do sheets.

I do at least 1 load a day. Most days I do 2 loads. If I skip a day I'll have 3. On Fridays I wash bedding so that adds a few extra loads.

Family of fove here and I do at least 2 to 3 loads a day. If I fall behind it seems to overtake my laundry room! No one except for me will re-wear anything (I do with my jeans) and no one will re-use a towel either.
