I love that John Wayne movie too. It is probably my favorite. Have you seen North to Alaska or Donovan' Reef? They are two John Wayne comedy's. I really like those too.

This is a tough one. I don't think I just have one favorite movie. There are quite a few that I would never get tired of no matter how many times I've seen them. A few of them are:

Hairspray
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
The Philadelphia Story
To Sir With Love
Adam's Rib (I just watched this one again last night)
Ghosts of Mississippi
The Simple Life of Noah Dearborn
Jakob the Liar
Desk Set
Polyester
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
D.E.B.S
Walking Across Egypt

Yeah.....I love those both....I never had seen a John Wayne movie before DH, and now I'm hooked. I really like McClintock too, all the spanking I thought he did a wonderful job in the Searchers...a very dark movie, and I also really liked the one, where they find the baby in the wagon, and he takes the baby through the desert and almost dies....can't for the life of me remember the name.

I think it was something like the Three Godfathers. That was a very early John Wayne movie. Yes McClintock and the Searchers were very good. I have been a big John Wayne fan for many years. I remember when he died I was around 20 years old a the girl across the street came over and told me I'm sorry as if he was a relative of mine. I like how he used his friends in movie after movie.

That is it....Thanks so much for the name. They just don't make actors like John Wayne anymore.

I love The Bridges of Madison County

The opening scene when the husband comes in and lets the door slam, and then they
all sit down to eat and she was listening to the radio and they turn it off or change the station.
Then when Clint comes into the movie and he doesn't do that, and offers to help her, it was why he was so special to her.
These simple gestures won her over, it made her feel appreciated.
I was surprised to see how many of you listed it as your favorite, I thought I was the only one
who loved it so much.

I don't know if MC still locks/closes these threads at 50? But, I'd be happy to compile a list of all of the movies that have been listed (in alphabetical order; I can do it easily on Excel -- and want it for myself!!!) so that we can print it out and have a check sheet...

I'll PM Addison and ask her if that's okay since I know that MC used to have some limitations on how long lists could be and all -- but that was coupons for trading, LOL.

I watch movies every Monday afternoon during the school year and more than that during the HOT summer... Thanks to all who have entered their faves!!!
