Playing in the Rain!

Do you ever go out and play in the rain?

The kids and I spent a good part of our morning outside playing in the rain, puddles and of course a little bit of mud too.....we had a blast. Best part is, everyone is so wore out they are all, all ready for bed. Mean old mom told them they had to wait at least another hour before heading to bed though.......if we didn't play in the rain they wouldn't be playing outside at all....we have had so much rain here, it's unbelievable.

not really. We have a couple of times but they both tend to get sick if they get all wet and play out in the cold air. In the summer, we don't get nice gentle rains, we get thrunderstorms that rain cats and dogs for 5 minutes and then clear up. If we had just light rain in warm air than I would probably let them out more

We all 4 spent last Sunday 4wheeling in the rain. We all came home muddy head to toe. Nothing like sliding around and throwing mud on each other via a 4wheeler.

It's been raining like crazy here in the DFW area of Texas! We haven't been out playing in it, though, because it's COLD water!

We are scheduled for partly cloudy on July 7 at Weather.com. Ha ha. Maybe the summer rains -- monsoons -- will start then??? Close to 100 degrees until then. But, it's a dry heat. We are in the mountains of Northwestern Arizona.

At the first drop my 3 yr old strips to his underoos and heads for the garage door! He loves to stand in it, splash in the puddles, etc. Luckily we get lots of quick showersw/o lightning

My kids love to play in the rain. When we go camping, they hope it rains because that's one of their favorite activities. We don't do it often because either it's storming, too late, too early, they're in school....you get the idea, lol. But they LOVE, love, love to do it!

The kids still left at home love, love, love that I actually send them out to play in the rain w/moi-self ;-)
I only wish I'd done it with the older kids. It's sooooo refreshing and lovely to splash in big puddles.

One of my son's ( and my) favorite memories is a day when he was about 2, and it was storming and pouring rain. I opened the garage door and sat with him in the garage watching the rain. We sat together in a chair with a blanket wrapped around us eating jelly beans, watching the lightening and the rain. It was so cozy! Now everytime it rains, we say "we need jellybeans!"
