I am surprised that it is this weekend. My brother normally goes to them and was just here visiting from florida. He used to be a vendor and now is normally at them as a guest speaker. He won an Emmy for visual effects for Firefly, and was the Visual Effects Supervisor on Battlestar Galatica. He also worked on StarTrek. He is now teaching in Florida. Took a little break from the fast pace Hollywood life. It is funny how he used to load up this little beat up car and drive all night to get to these events and now they pay him to go! Have fun!

Wow! I'm surprised he wasn't there, too! They often have Firefly guests. Has he done the DCC before? If not, maybe I could pass his contact info along to the Convention Promoter (I know him.) Maybe they could bring him in in October?
