| I recently sold mine using AutoTrader. It shows the car online and in the printed book. Ad ran 4 weeks. I am looking to buy another one. I browse cars.com and autotrader (which I think is part of Yahoo Motors). My only suggestion would be that if you are not able to answer the phone, please leave the status of the car as your voice mail message. It's been really frustrating calling ads and getting voice mails. You can say "if you are calling about the 2007 Porsche Carrera its still available for sale" or "it has been sold". I think that is helpful to a prospective buyer as well as to you (seller). I noticed a lot of the dealership ads too.

I recently bought a used vehicle and checked auto trader, cars.com, & craigslist daily. I ended up buying a van I found on Craigslist, but only because I got a great deal! My husband's boss also found 2 used vehicles for his daughters using Craigslist in the last 2 months.

DH sold his car on Auto Trader, which worked out really well. We plan to sell our mini van on Craigs List, which is free. We have a very popular model in excellent condition, so I don't think we'll have any trouble selling it. Sarah........ |
