| Any good coach gift ideas?
DH has been coaching DD's softball team and has poured his heart and soul into it. They took 2nd in the state tournament today. I wanted to do something really special for him (he got a glove trophy from the team with a ball and they all signed it). Any good coaching gifts or ideas out there besides the #1 coach coffee mug on every site I have seen! Thanks so much! |

As the team mom for my sons hockey team I took a collection from the parents and we did the picture frame with the team photo and pictures of the coach and the kids signed the frame and we made them hockey blankets, one year we got them sweatshirts with the team logo and the coaches name on it

Probably not the right gift coming from you to your husband but this might help someone else out. My husband coach's football and it is a very long 4 months with not a lot of family time. His team pitched in and gave him gift certificates for a few restaurants so we could spend a nice family dinner together after the season. He has also received a t-shirt with the program name on the front and what they won with their record listed on the back (this is really good if you are undefeated!

No gift necessary, just a nice pat on the back and maybe a hug if you're feeling energetic. What I mean is, it is not the duty of the coach's SO to buy/organize the gift. On the teams that my DH or I coach, we receive the gift. When we are in the stands, we thank the coaches with a gift. Rebecca |

Purchase a really nice frame and make a collage of the season: Contact all the parents and ask for copies of photographs that were taken at practices, before/after/during the games, and team social events….pizza parties, cook-outs, etc.. Also copies of Rosters and any articles that may have appeared in the local newspaper. (You could do this with a scrapbook too)
