Question Are you a sunbather?

Do you love to look tan or do you cover up?

I LOVE to look tan---but, I don't sunbathe as I BURN! I normally slather myself in SPF45 before going out even on the cloudy days. (it's the Irish in me--red hair, green eyes, freckles and extremely fair skin!!)

I use the sunless tanners to obtain any sort of tan....

I don't think that I have sunbathed in years.....I just get tan walking to the mail box down here. (florida)

We are always at the beach or the waterpark or outside so I just get tan. I do slather sunscreen on my and my kiddies every morning.....I don't want to look like a coach purse when I get old! YUCK!

I'm lucky that I tan very easily-- maybe it was growing up in Florida. However, I am very careful in the sun. Today we went to the pool for almost 3 hours. I lathered SPF 30 on when I got there, then again after about 90 minutes. I got some light color even with applying twice.

I love to be tanned. I have a tanning bed in my basement. I know it's bad but I do it anyway. What can I say!?

Burn, blister, peel, repeat I don't think I've ever been tan in my life. Never sunbathed, but have stayed out in the pool for way too long. I wear black t-shirts and jeans year round.

I love to tan but I was diagnosed with malignant melonoma in April so now tanning is out. I am only 33 with 2 young children. I'd rather be really pale (almost see through....LOL) and alive to raise my kids than tanned and 6 feet under.

I'm a sunbather. I smother myself with high strength sunblock and within about 3 layouts I'll have a nice dark tan.I tan super easy.I lay out in the morning while its still cool with a small fan on my lap.

I love the sun, though I try not to overdo. I am in the sun most of the day at work, and love to sit out alot at my pool. But I do that whether it is sunny or not. I always use suncreen. My kids and DH do not like the sun.

My skin doesn't do anything in the sun. I'm very fair, but I don't tan or burn. I have to be on the beach for at least two hours without sunscreen before I start to turn pink. These days, I do use sunscreen, but that's just to prevent skin cancer, not to prevent a burn.

I love the sun... love the outdoors but try to stay sun screened (although I still get tan through it!).

I don't lay out though. I've never been able to lay still for long... too much to do! and the sun is pretty intense here in AZ.

DH and DS#2 burn. DS#1 and I both have an olive complexion although my skin is dry and is starting to look leathery from living in the desert for 37 of my 43 years.

My first Dermatologist appointment coming up soon, the referral is in the works! Yikes.

no I have always tanned easily but I have one dd who burns easily so we dont stay out long enough now & going to all these dermatologist lately for other reasons you see tons of pics of what years of sunbathing can do to you & its not pretty I never been to a tanning bed either was always scared of those things.

I'm the pale person who is always in the crowd in the summer sticking out like a sore thumb. I used to sunbathe but all I would do is burn, cry, peel and repeat so I gave that up.

Not so big on it now. I use sunscreen on myself and my kids but they all tan very nicely even with the sunscreen. I just am a very fair skinned person.

I "need" to be tan! I swear, the first onset of depression during the winter, I'm in the tanning bed.

Up until last year i ran a tanning salon ...I know bad, bad. But now I use a sunless tanner from Paula Begoun that I LOVE.

I'm fair and freckled and avoid the sun as much as possible! I won't work in my yard until it's shaded in the late afternoon, and always wear sunscreen on my face as a moisturizer, even in the winter. We don't even belong to our pool down the street!

Ok, I'm the one who wants a tan but doesn't because I don't want to take any chances of skin cancer (runs in family) and too lazy (cheap) to use the self tanning products.

I tan very easily, but I no longer go tanning or sit out in the sun very much. It's just not worth the risk, IMO.

I`m light skinned, the irish in me. I also hate the hot weather and could not sit still long enough to tan. Bad memories of bad sunburns as a child. They didnt have sun block
