I think ours is $14 a month. Twice a week household garbage, once a week lawn trash, once a week recycling, once a week large items. The city also provides our container for household trash. We just got the fancy rolling hoppers that are lifted by the truck.

Our regular trash is included in our homeowners association fees, so I have no idea how much it is. It's once a week and you can put anything out there except large stuff like appliances. They have a special pick up for stuff like that a couple times a year. Recycling is not included and it's $21 per year - they supply the bin. Lisa

We pay $57 every 3 months. You have to use their cans which you rent from them. One for trash, recycle and greenery. They come once a week and will pick up a large item if you call ahead. They don't pick up extra bags of trash like you would have at Christmas or birthdays, so it might take an extra week to get rid of it all.

We have NO trash pick up. We have to carry our own to the dump.......guess ya cant beat free!

We share a dumpster between three neighbors and the total is 50.xx every 3 months, but pick up is only once every 2 weeks. Not too bad, but it is frustrating when some neighbors decide to dump all of their household stuff and the remaining neighbors don't have any room.

We pay $110 every 6 months. They come once a week, and take what they think is reasonable. They charge extra for excessive trash, so we, too, try to think of creative ways to beat the system. BTW, our trash pick up is voluntary and we hire a private company. Some of our neighbors don't have a garbage service, and they burn EVERYTHING. Ewwww. I hate burn days! |

Trash pick up is once a week. You can rent a wheel cart for trash (I think it's $10 a month or so) or buy trash stickers (don't know how much those are...$1.50 each?). Recycling is no charge: plastic, glass, paper and cardboard. They provide bins. Yard waste needs a special cart and that is $15 a month or so (in spring thru fall). Once a week pick up as well

We pay $18.xx a month for one can, one pick up a week, and that DOES include weekly yard waste pickup. They come by with this big truck with a clam shell thing on it, and take whatever yard waste you have set out. I don't understand that....they don't charge extra for it, even tho it's a seperate truck. I was told that the reason they charge extra for a large item is they send out a "special" truck to come get it About once a week they have a story about people illegally dumping sofas, beds, etc. on the side of the road somewhere. Gee, I wonder why???

| The charge is $24.45 every month. They tack it on to to the water bill. Pickup is every Thursday.

We pay $7/month - the city picks it up and it's included on our electric bill. However, up until 2 weeks ago, we had to pay the $7 to the city and $45/ 3months to a private pick up company. The Homeowner's Association didn't want the "big" city trash trucks in our neighborhood so we had to pay for the city pick-up even though they didn't pick it up and pay for other company to actually pick it up. Anyway, we got a letter from the mayor saying he was made aware of our situation and starting tomorrow, the city is picking it up! Woohoo! Sounds like $7/month is a pretty good deal! $7/month for up to 8 bags. |

holy crap! You have to PAY for trash pickup?!? Free! At the curb, once/week. No big things, kwim, like stoves, fridge, etc... That's BYO to the dump. and pay there. I knew there were places that only allow X bags, or whatever.. our city takes whatever we put out there (there MAY be a limit, never hit it though..) 3 barrels or 4... not much more. Recycling is 1x/2 weeks. Jason |

Trash pickup is included on the water bill.... BAD BAD me, I dont even know the breakdown of the bill...ALL I know is I pay $34 a month for water and trash Pick up is every Friday and I think a 10 bag max. I'm really lucky because my ex a long loing time ago made a trash bin thingy on the side of the house and I dont have to take the trash out to the curb out front.....they have always picked it up right there for the last 10yrs!!

We don't pay a fee, its included in our property taxes. If we want to dispose of big items, we have a free dump day once a year. I think we are very lucky, because our towns property taxes are some of the lowest in our area.

Wow! Some pricey trash out there. We pay for our trash pick up through the water bill. I never paid much attention but just pulled out this months bill and it shows $7.86 for garbage. Here they pick up garbage twice a week and recycle once a week. They provide recycle bins that you can pick up at City Hall.peapie |

We pay $50 for 3 months of trash service. They pick-up once a week and provided us with a can on wheels (that fits on their truck, so they can dump it). The company we used just got bought by Waste Management, however, and I assume the price will go up. At least that is what happened in our old neighborhood when WM bought out the little 'mom & pop' trash company we had. Where we lived in Michigan, we had a 'trash ticket' service. They city gave you a ticket for one bag/week that you attached to the trash bag (this was paid for by property taxes). If you had more trash, you had to go downtown and buy more tickets ($1 each). It was a huge PITA to have to cram as much as you could in one bag and then buy more tickets, make sure you didn't run out, remember to stick them on the bags, etc.. I would have rather just paid more to begin with than deal with the silly tickets. Very few people put out only one bag of trash per week. Sarah.........mom to Jason & Devin |

It's FREE here too . No limit on bags/cans and you can put out 2 big items a month. Pick up is once a week on Friday morning. There is no curb side recycling either. There are bins around town where you take and depose of it yourself.

We pay $25.00 a month and Thats for once a week pickup. We had to go through an independant company because the town does not offer pick up. The town does have a dump site but you pay PER bag to take garbage there and PER item for big items. The company I use allows up to 6 bags or 6 cans per week and Any big item (as long as you call ahead to tell them its out there) including couches, stoves etc. Its worth the $25.00 a month for convenience to me.

I think ours is part of our taxes. I've never seen a bill, but will have to check out the last HOA info to see if they list it. They come weekly & we can put up to 10 containers (that includes our big cans that are full of bags). We have "big trash" pick up once per month where you can put out large furniture, etc. |

Our garbage bill is $60 a quarter. We pay for 4-5 bags and they pick up every Tuesday morning. The bags/boxes have to be 40 pounds or less. Extra bags are $2 each and you have to call the day before pick up so they know you'll have extra. Some of our neighbors burn their garbage, but we aren't allowed. It was one of the deed restrictions when we bought the house. On our road (rural area), there's more than one garbage company that picks up here. We don't have to have the same one. We don't have mandatory recycling in my township. My middle daughter saves all our aluminum cans and sells them to her pappy (who then turns them in at the junk yard)!
