does your dh snore?

Here I am 5 am.. I've been up for 2 hours.. while precious is snoring to the point that it is unbearable.. I've woke him up twice thinking that would help.. kicked him in the butt, plugged his nose making him gasp through his mouth, nudged him in the arm and then finally just got up and got on the computer..

I'm the snorer in this house. Even did a sleep study once to check for Apnea. But I don't have it. I have large tonsils and adnoids. (Sp).

ROFL!!! I do the same thing to my hubby!!! LOL Sometimes he'll wear the Breathe Right strips, and they help. My goal is to fall asleep BEFORE he does!

Thumbs down Holy cow!

My husband has been killing me here lately. He snores relentlessly! I pinch his nose, punch his arm, kick him, etc.....Then I figured out that if I pull the hair on his legs, he will stop snoring for a little while. But he ends up giong back at it full force! It has really been getting on my nerves for the last few weeks. He says, I can't help it! UGHH!! I hope someone here comes up with a recommendation to stop this cause I need to sleep!

Thurs Night / Friday Morn...I fell asleep at 11, to be awakened by his loud noises at 12:30...After doing all the mentioned tricks, I come in the living room at 4:30, I finally fell asleep at 6:15 and was up at 8.....UGH! I need sleep too!!!!

My husband snores terribly as well. A couple of years ago he went for a sleep study and was diagnoses with Sleep Apnea. Now he wears a CPAP to bed and no more snoring!! He has the option of wearing the machine or having surgery. He just keeps putting off surgery. Not sure why, really, because he does complain about wearing the machine. It has a mask that he wears and isn't very attractive, but it sure helps me to get a good night's rest. Huge difference!

DH only snores when he's sick.......I'm the snorer in our family. Dh doesn't complain about not being able to sleep though. He can sleep through anything. Now our dog can keep me up! She is a horrible horrible snorer!

I'm the snorer of the house. A couple times I have even woken myself up.

Unhappy

Nobody feel bad! My dh snores and grinds his teeth every night. If I happen to wake up in the middle of the night it takes me about 1/2 hour to fall asleep!

There was a thread on this not long ago...Yes, DH snores and yes it's unbearable. It really takes a toll on the other person after awhile. Many nights I've been up at 3 .am. on the computer because he's snoring so loudly. Sometimes he uses that spray for snoring...he sprays it in his throat...not sure of the name...It truly seems to help! I'm going to move to another room soon if it doesn't stop. I'm fed up! ~Lisa

Oh my gosh yes. It is soooo annoying. He says I snore too, but it doesn't seem to bother him. I will try to go to bed before he does. It is irritating to go to bed at the same time and he is asleep in 5 minutes and it takes me forever to go to sleep.

Mine does. Usually if I nudge him and tell him to roll on his side it's ok. If he's sick forget it! He can fall asleep at the drop of a hat and it takes me quite a bi to unwind. He says I snore too, but it doesn't bother him. It's fun when he's snoring and the cat's wheezing. UGH!

Mine can wake the dead, so can my Father actually.

The solution my Mother and I both came up with after other events led us each separately to the solution.... don't sleep in the same room.

Mom and I both sleep in what amounts to the master bedroom in our houses. My Husband and Dad get the spare room - or in Dh's case the recreation room futon (its where the big tv is, trust me its his preference...). If they're good boys, they get to "visit".

And once they realized that well-rested wives equal happy wives... everybody's happy.
