If you are serious about using the treadmill get an extended warranty. I got several treadmills from Sears and the warranty has replaced several of them because I wear them out. I had several Pro Forms. I didn't care for that brand at all. The belts kept breaking from daily use. Repairman said they are not made for people who jog but I was only walking fast. Owned a Healthrider with a carpet belt. Loved it but once I wore it out they quit making replacement parts for it. Now I own a Nordic Track. I have wore out 2 belts and a motor part. I like the machine fine. My machine gets several hours of use a week. The machine I have cost around $1200. The cheaper machines around $300-400 are too hard on my knees. I would love a high end treadmill but not in the budget. Good luck.

My treadmill is a Lifestyler that is old now.......We have had for about 10 years......and it's been through many moves.....but my best advice is to actually try the treadmills out, before you buy, because they all feel a little different and its the best way to see how easy it is to use all those fancy buttons when your actually moving.

Good Luck!
