I`m confused about something. I love the cafe and look forward to it everyday(maybe that makes my life boring but oh well) I dont get it about Cici and Suz sight. First I didnt know about it. Is it only special people who can join? I like the cafe and resent the fact that someone wants to do it harm. Please dont take it away and give in to the other board. You stay on your board and the people who like this one will stick to it. I dont know if I got my point across but play nice and Addison Im going to read your good noght story and go to sleep. Hope to see everyone tomorrow.

I have no idea what really is going on either. I suppose I don't pay enough attention, that seems to be a pattern with me!! LOL

I just know that on boards, as in real life there are those that are "in" and those that aren't. I never have been one to be 'in' and I 've learned to be content with that. It seems to me that to be in means to be in the middle of things. I've been there occasionally and am perfectly capable of holding my own, but I choose not too.

I enjoy this board and come most every day. I would hate to see it go.

I would like to say that somewhere I read a post being critical of "lurkers". Why would one care if someone lurked, for pete's sake it's the internet!!! I have actually been a member of this board since about 99 or so. I forgot my and totally lost my user name and password after takinga break and had to rejoin. I've only recently started posting at all, so guess what??? I'm a lurker.........why would anyone care. I don't post often, just like when I first enter a room irl I am quiet until I feel safe. That's my personality, why would someone care???

I've been on other boards where I've been involved in debates, and I enjoy it, but when it gets personal, forget it.....so silly if you ask me.

I know what you mean. Ive been on the board ever since you had to pay to join and I did. I use to be a lerker but latley have been getting into posts that interest me but I feel like there is something else out there that alot of other people know about but me. Talk about being paranoid. Ive noticed too that some people that are always posting all of a sudden are gone. Have you noticed this?

Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about people who used to post alot being gone....this is the internet and people come and go for reasons far too many to even speculate. There will always be someone new to fill the shoes of the ones that left. And the new ones - whether truly new or new to posting - will bring a breath of fresh air to the board.

Every person has something to offer and so many unique life experiences to bring to the table....that it will go on. So, chat it up!

While for the most part there's nothing wrong with "lurkers", there are some that lurk just to gather information. But I'm sure there are many more that lurk so they can get comfortable with the board first. God forbid, right?

So punish the entire crew, must be the motto. It's obvious only those are "welcome" (and I use that word loosely) that pass muster and have the right pedigree.

You're not paranoid and it's complete and utter nonsense. Childish high school games played by people who are supposed to be grown up, yet just can't seem to get there. I heard about most if not all of what went on that started all this and beleive me, I want that 20 minutes of my life I spent listening to it back! lol

What it all boils down to is you're not missing a thing. Period.

I also think that there might be a lot of people are traveling right now -- on vacation so to speak.

Well I am on both sites (i don't know what you will call me) and the reason I have not been posting here (or there) is b/c I have other things to do. I have to assume that alot of that is what is going on.....Ppl are busy in their RL and don't have time......KWIM? But fortunately (for some of u) and unfortunately (for some of you) I will still be alive and kicking on both boards!!!

Not today though, its off to the beach. You will probably see me tonight though!!

Man, what did I miss!! We just got home from vacation and it's my first chance to get on line... and this is the first post I pulled up...what happened, what are you all talking about?

In a nutshell, some people got their feelings hurt because they didn't post on a different forum and lost their membership. Some people were using what was said at the other board to start problems over here and just don't want to let it go. They are like a dog with a bone. The post was closed because it got up to the max because of some fun posting to get people to lighten up. It was starting to get personal and nasty.

WOW! That's not how it went down at all. But, that's ok, you continue believing what you believe.

I really don't think anyone got their feelings hurt about losing their membership on the other board. I think it's more along the lines of getting their feelings hurt because they were being posted about on the other board in a not so nice way. Also, several members of the other board were bringing tag lines and locations referring to the other board as a means to advertise because the board owners couldn't.

Personal and nasty is being called several names, including but not limited to a very offensive word that starts with a C and rhymes w/ "hunt" by members of the other board. That's personal and nasty!
