| Printing pictures
I hope this is in the right place, but you guys seem to know about everything and I'm needing help printing pictures. I have scanned some old 5x7 pictures that I have and am trying to print them on my printer. I have them on my hard drive and when I click on them it brings them up in Windows Picture and Fax viewer. From there I'm clicking on the print button and going through the prompts. Even when I choose to print as a 5x7 though, it's giving me a weird size - somewhat smaller than a 5x7. I guess I could live with it, but I was hoping to get them to print in a true 5x7 size and give to various family members in a frame. If it comes down to it, I can just put a small mat around the picture, but it would just make it easier to be able to get the rigth sized picture. Thanks for any advice! Becky |

Sometimes, you can even copy/paste or drag photos to Microsoft Word or Paint and resize. Maybe worth a try. Also, the online photo developing places do a nice job. I have used Winkflash and Snapfish (quality was better then WF) and both have come within 4-5 business days. I prefer using the photo developing as the photos ink won't smear, etc. like those printed from the computer will and they take care of all of the resizing issues, etc. (instead of me)! I scanned a whole bunch of ancient black and white photos of family and so on and then transferred to Snapfish and ordered a huge set. They came out terrific and the extended family just loved them. |

Yes, there is a white border (from where the picture wasn't on the scanner). I haven't had time to mess with it anymore. Quite honestly, I'll probably be working on it again tomorrow at work. There is a much nicer printer there to print good pictures .Thanks for your suggestions - I'll let you know what I come up with! |
