| Anybody having ipod problems?
I was at the apple store the other day because I was having problems with my IPOD Video. The screen was all white and i wasn't getting any text on it. After three hours of waiting at the apple store for them to run a 3 minute diagnostic and tell me that it's dead....I wasn't a happy camper. I do pc support for a living and decided that I wasn't gonna pay to buy another 60gb ipod minus the 10 percent apple offered me. I thought about it some more and decided to open mine up. The problem was just as I originally thought....(like a pc) with the video cable...it wasn't sitting tight on the connector. I couldn't believe that apple was trying to make people buy a new ipod when they have problems like cracked screens. I was seriously thinking about offering cheap ipod repairs.....i can't believe apple is charging people for a "new" (refurbished) ipod and getting theirs as a trade in also....too much like a monopoly to me. I just don't know where to begin on starting this up. TIA, Maureen |

I would guess you could start by letting people you know, know about it, maybe put an ad in the paper? I saw a site that had pictures of the inside of the new iPhone - the battery is not easy to replace, it's wired to a board! |

iPod repair services already exist, but typically require that you mail the device in. I don't see any harm in offering MP3 player repair as part of your PC repair service, so long as you clarify that you don't work for the manufacturer.
