| Anybody else having trouble with AVG free?
For the past month my AVG virus scan has not been working properly and I just wondered if anyone else was having trouble with it. It keeps telling me that my residential shield is not loaded and my email scanner is not active. I reinstalled it 3 times but after a couple of days it does the same thing. Anybody else having trouble?

I'm having the same problem. I just figured it was something else that has decided not to work with Vista. (I'm really hating Vista!!) Guess, now I should go and see what's up. Laura |

My DD HAD AVG Free on her laptop and within a 7 month time got 3 viruses! We had to wipe her memory out twice. After the last one, I decided it was easier to just use McAfee or Norton's. I hate paying all that money but since installing this antivirus software (~~  knock on wood~~), she has been virus free and the laptop is actually running better than ever before!! I know ALOT of people use this free antivirus software but it just didn't work for us!

It has been working for us. Maybe try running Spybot. It is also a free download -- takes care of spyware that might have made its way onto your machine. Also, if you run Windows, be sure to go to Microsoft.com and download their security updates (middle of their home page). They have had some pretty big ones lately. |

We have it on all 4 computers with no problem, recently. I did have it on one computer a while ago, but I don't know what we did to get it fixed though. Sorry.
