My mom sent me $50 gift certificate through kiva.org after seeing them featured on PBS television network (my birthday present).

I used the $50 on their website to loan two business owners in Third World countries $25 each -- this was in May.

They have both paid me back partially ($10 each) and once I'm fully paid back, I can loan the money to someone else.

This is truly a gift that gives and gives and gives...
