After all these months of fighting to bring my brother back to health after his AML relapse /brain tumor and subsequent paralysis(transverse myelitis),it appears he may be relapsing again-just when he's been making great neurological gains& getting feeling back. My sisters & I have noticed that his eye is bulging again,like it did when he was diagnosed with the tumor behind his eye. It isn;t as bad as before-yet,but we are so heartsick,heartbroken,scared,etc. I spoke with the oncologist who told me that if this is the case,there is no more they(traditional medicine)can do for him-they 've already given him all the poison(chemo) and radiation they can(this is what paralyzed him). Therefore,as I anxiously await tomorrow's appt with the Dr. to check his eye,I've been trying to check out options. I know there is no guarantee and I'm being careful about Quack-type stuff,but I've come across alot of good info & testimonies from people who went to the Burzinsky Clinic for treatment and it seems quite legit,as they are honest & turn people away if they feel they can not help/treat them. Has anyone here ever heard or had experience or know anyone who has, with the clinic? The last few days have been so horrific, as my mom , sisters and I try to prepare our selves for the worst-my brother doesn't even have a clue that this Dr. appt is a "set up" by us- he thinks that while he's at a previously scheduled appt,the eye Dr. wanted to check in on him since he hasn't seen him since the orig. diagnosis&treatment. I just keep praying I'm wrong,but by process of elimination,I don't know what else it could be(same eye as before). Please pray for Bob and for my family. I keep praying to Saint Jude and St. Rita for they are the patron saints of hopeless or impossible situations. My prayers were answered back in December and Bob has worked so hard and been through so much-he just came home March 25 after nearly 6 months in the hospital. I'm just so deeply sad and sick about this-he is such a good person and has been thru so much. Whwn we were at the spinal cord rehab he said"Deb,what if I work to get my arms& legs back and then the cancer comes back? "I told him that God had seen him come so far for a reason and I believed that he would not let him come through what Dr.'s felt was impossible,not to see him succeed and be cured. I feel like I lied/failed him. I would like to ask any of you who believe in prayer(I have seen it's miraculous power) to please pray for Bob that he be/stay cured of his cancer(AML in central nervous system). I just know that if people everywhere would pray for him,add him to their personal or church prayer groups,it would be a great help. I'm in such despair-I know my brother is not ready to go
and I'm not ready to lose him-I've got to try everything I can,until he tells me otherwise someday.

I don't know anything about that clinic, but MD Anderson in Houston is the BEST cancer center that I know of.

I'm sorry for what you are going through. I'll second what crzy4cpns says about MD Anderson. My husband had melanoma 4 years ago and MD Anderson is where he went. They are AWESOME there! The treatment we received was/is 2nd to none. I'm just glad we live in the Houston area and can take advantage of all their services.
