what other grocery items have you noticed jumped in price?

The milk thread got me thinking....
It seems like everything has jumped just a little bit, I know oj, eggs are like $1.65 or more a dozen.
butter, milk and beef and pork of course. I noticed the candy bars (6 packs) at Walmart have jumped from $2.50 to $2.88. Everything is just a little bit basically, but it sure does add up! I remember when groceries didn't cost me so much.

Produce has been higher this summer than I remember it being in the past.

Everything has gone up just a bit. It certainly adds up.

Home Pride Bread... I just bought it today and almost had a heart attack. I used to pay .99 to 1.39 today it was $2.49 for a loaf of bread. Usually I don't notice bread because it's not that high anyway but that's all I was buying and oh my. That is way to high!!!

But I think Everything has gone up and I mean everything. I said that to my son and he told me it's not that bad mustard is still .49 a bottle. Well if I could only live on mustard I would have it made!!!

I just bought bread today and paid $2.99! At these prices, brown bagging it isn't so much of a deal any more. For what I spend on coldcuts, bread, lettuce, snacks, etc, it's almost cheaper to let DH buy from the roach coach every day and it would save me some time and effort.

8 oz. block of Kraft 2% sharp cheddar cheese - they've always been 2/$5 at our grocery store. Today they were $2.86 each!

I've noticed most everything has gone up. Of course milk, a gallon of store brand is around $3, name brand is over $4. Bread, eggs, cheese, lunch meat, produce.
I noticed that deli meat.....I was paying around $4.96 a lb. at Walmart for either Sara Lee turkey or ham.....now it's over $6 a lb!!
A few things that I've noticed that haven't gone up.....seafood. I buy frozen shrimp and salmon fillets at Walmart and those have stayed the same. The 8 or 10 count snack size candy bars are still .99. Breyers ice cream is around $3 for 1/2 gallon which is also about the same as always. Overall, most everything has increased at least a little bit in price. Very few things have stayed about the same.

This is exactly why my DH "retires" so many times!
He has to keep going back to work to keep up with the jump in prices!
And since it will only get worse, we have to save more all the time too, just waiting for even higher prices.

I've noticed this too.

OJ was $2.69 and now it goes on sale for $3
Target milk was $2.79 and now it's $3.19 ($4.19 for name brand)
shredded cheese was $1.52 and now $2.66
eggs (1doz) were .77 and now they are $1.29
bread was .86 and now it's .99

Everything else seems to be following suit. I've lost the thrill of the hunt. I now hate going to the grocery store.

Charcoal ! I have only bar b qued once this summer because by the time I buy the charcoal, I could go out to a BK and buy flamed burgers!

Produce...apples are almost a dollar each..and ears of corn in the summer time..I'd buy 8 ears for a dollar..now they are 25+ cents each.
