Does this seem reasonable to you???

Looking thru the want ads, and there is one poster there for FT care giver/mother's helper, M-F 7am - 5:30pm, $100 a week, for a 1 1/2 yo. That is 10.5 hours per day, times 5 days = 52.5 hours for $100???? Then they want you to help out with laundry, cooking, cleaning, feeding the pets.......!!

What would you expect to be paid for this????

Oh, no, sorry, that is someone looking for a person to work for this. They are ISO a caregiver for $100 a week. The list went on, too. They want you to pay for you own background check and fingerprints, shuttle the kids around, and on and on. Oh, and pay your OWN taxes. They state they are sending all info. to IRS. HMMM, wonder if they play to pay Social Security for you???? Aren't employers supposed to match what you pay???

if I paid someone $100 a week to do all that I would be waiting for social services to take my kid away....

I would pay a caregiver AT LEAST $8 an hour if it included all of that

They wouldn't be your employer, you would be an independent contractor and they will most likely be claiming you as childcare on their taxes so they get the deduction which means you have to claim it. I would pay someone 20% more than average if I knew they had to pay taxes on it PLUS gas money. They want this person to shuttle around???Gas is over $3 a gallon....

This is ridiculous and I don't think it even meets any federal minimum wage requirements.
