Okay, I know I have posted a few threads about friends, best friends, etc. So I thought I would share this with you all.

My bestest friend in the whole wide world is coming home to Virginia from Pennsylvania for a very brief visit. We have not seen each other in about 17 years.....I can't wait. We've talked online and on the phone, but haven't "seen" each other in that long........ Can you imagine not seeing your best friend that long??

Even though, her visit will be very short, it will be the most treasured time! We'll probably hug and cry for 3 darn hours when she gets here, lol. BUT we aint gonna let another 17 years go by with out seeing each, ever again!

Wish us luck & fun. I am sure it will be!!

Oh I couldn't imagine not seeing my BF for that long. We can't go a week without a visit. Enjoy and don't make big plans just make sure you have time to just talk!!! You are going to have so much fun.

I have friends like that too. They live in different states and we don't see each other for a long time. But you know they're 'true' friends when you do get together and you can pick up right where you left off -- just like you saw them last weekend!!

DH and I just found one of our buddies just last summer from college from 30 years ago!! He then came up to visit us and it was like we hadn't been apart all those years.

I hope you have a great time. I have a friend that moved by me in San Diego when her dad was stationed here during the Vietnam war. They moved back to WV when I was in 7th grade and she was in 5th grade. We still write and talk on the phone after more then 35 years.

We were childhood friends. Went to elementary school together & on through school. When were teenagers, like 13 or so, she moved in about a half a mile down the road from me. So, we were together all of the time! Then when finished high school, her parents decided to move to PA from VA and have never seen each other since.....BUT we have burned up some telephone lines and instant messengers! We are so much alike that it's crazy.

And since she moved away and moved up north, her southern accent is completely gone and she sounds like a born & bred northerner. She always laughs at me when we talk on the phone saying how funny and hick I sound .......So, I am hoping she'll pick up some of this southern slang and take it back with her,so I can make fun of her too..................I bet yall are thinking I am goofy for that, but it's little things like that which entertain us the most, lol. Anyway, I started sharing again
