Do you YAHOO??? A must read!

I noticed this at the bottom of the screen for my "yahoo" mail. It was ironic that whatever I seemed to type in an email would show up in a "received" email in some form. For example: I sent an email to a friend of mine, by the name of Carie. Next thing I know, I have an email in my in box, from "carie". Not the carie I emailed, either. Very interesting, isn't it???

Food for thought, for sure. Here's the blurb on the bottom of YAHOO! Pay particular attention to the "NOTICE" line.

Also if you have any pictures stored at Yahoo photos, they have to be moved by I think it was Sept.20 , as they will no longer be available after that and they will be gone.I already moved all mine out and burned them to disk.

does this mean that pictures will be gone out of the emails that you have already received?

If you go to the email, you can hold your mouse's cursor over the photo, right click on your mouse, and then click on 'save picture' and then choose the folder (I always choose My Pictures) and save the picture to your computer.

As far as Yahoo Photo album photos, I migrated all of them to Photo Bucket... It was easy and painless and they offered it as an option when I logged into the photo album. Now, I can deal with this later.

I'm just so glad that someone said something (about the photos!) since I never log into Yahoo email or anything else. I use it for freebie signups.

In regards the OP' comment about privacy... I set up a bunch of user blocks there for my account under 'Options' (top right)... while you are in the Options menu, be sure to check what you have listed for your account information and edit it accordingly -- such as leaving your street address blank and only putting your initials for your first and last name. Maybe those are some things that would help you feel like you have a little bit of privacy.

If you click on the Notice line and read the content it isn't different from any other email service I've used. Am I missing something?

It is true of every free online email service. Hotmail has similar imbedded in it's user agreement. The sites are only secure on the sign-in page.
