Anyone had Uterine Fibroid Embolization?

I had the procedure done on Thursday, and I am in so much pain I can barely breathe. Wondering if anyone else has had this done, and how long until the discomfort went away? My doctor took my off work for 10 days, but the way I am feeling this morning I can't believe I am even going to be up and around by then.

I have never had this done but my mother has. I personally think that you should call your Dr. You sound like you are in a lot of pain. Are you taking your pain meds? If you are I would call your Dr. just to let them know what you are feeling. Did I say call your Dr? I hope you feel better

I just wanted to let you know I took your advice. They sent me home from the hospital with Percocet. That was not working. So I called the Radiology Nurse and got a prescription for Tordol (sp?) which also did not cut the pain. When the nurse called back a few hours later I told her it really wasn't working so she called in a prescripton for Vicodin. That worked within 15 min. I am taking it every 4 hours and I can't believe the difference. I was seriously ready to call Dr. Kevorkian, I was in that much pain.
