Bunco is so much fun. Make sure that you print up rules, score pads/tally sheets. Google "Bunko"rules and you should be able to find some. Other than that, clear some space, set out card tables (if you can borrow some), get bowls of easy snacks like pretzels, candies, anything chocolate, etc. We sometimes have a different "theme" for each table. Chocolate table, healthy table, cheesy table, etc. You might consider putting down placemats in the center of each table to keep the dice from bouncing off. Just a few hints-- have a great time!

Our neighborhood has a bunco group. We meet the third Monday evening of each month and rotate houses. People with a last name beginning with a letter from the first half of the alphabet bring an appetizer or dessert one month and the second half of the alphabet brings the next month. The hostess supplies table snacks and beverages. We all contribute $5.00 to a kitty. We too, spend the first 45 minutes or so eating and drinking and socializing and then begin to play after that. So many of us really look forward to Bunco night. It's so much fun and a great way to all stay connected!

I miss bunko so much! I used to play in California before we moved to Washington 9 years ago. Your post has inspired me to start a group. As far as hosting, we used to all donate $5.00 at the prior bunko night to the hostess of the upcoming night. This would help buy goodies for those that won. When we got together, everyone went home with a goodie. Most were gooies from the dollar store.

The way our neighborhood group started was one neighbor had belonged to a group in TX and after moving here thought it would be a good way to meet people in the neighborhood. She made fliers and put them in all the mailboxes in the neighborhood, inviting everyone interested. She hosted the first one and taught us all how to play. We have a group of about 20 now and we love it! Whenever someone new moves into our neighborhood, we invite them!

I am part of a group. It's $10 to play and we all bring a food dish and the hostess provides drinks. Usually we have a theme like mexican or hawaiian, comfort food, etc. Limit to 3 desserts. We use evite so we can see what everyone is brining. I usually put a little "sticky" on the bottom of one of the chairs and the person in that chair at the end of the game wins a special "gift" that the hostess buys (around $5-$10). When someone rolls a bunko, they have to wear a princess crown so that way everyone knows who had the last bunko. At the end of the night we have money prizes for most bunkos, last person who had bunko, most wins and most lossess

| It's a dice game. Different groups vary the way they play but basically, you have three tables of four people. Each table had three dice. So, for the first round, you score one point for each time you roll a one. In round two, you get points for rolling "twos", etc.

I also have a bunco group. There are 12 of us and we each pay $10 to the hostess the month before she has it so she can buy the prizes. We do Most Buncos $32 Most wins $28 2nd most wins $22 3rd most $17 4th most $13 Last Bunco $4 Boobie Most losses $4 If there is a tie we have a roll off with all three dice. The highest roll wins. So if it was a tie for most wins the looser would then get the 2nd most wins. You can win more then one prize. We usually have gift cards as prizes but that is up to the hostess. The hostess also provides dinner, drinks, and dessert. If someone can't make it they need to try and find a sub and you pay the $10 for them. It is so much fun, I look forward to Bunco every month.
