Whoopi Goldberg

No surprise to me. There was a lot of talk about it being her. She will start the day after Labor Day. I wonder if they will add another member to take Star's place. Sherri Shepherd has said she really would like the job.

I like both of them. I like people who are funny.

No surprise. I just wonder if more people have been watching this summer since Rosie has been gone. Most of the show lately have been boring to me. I can't care for Barbara on the show. She repeats her stories.

Haven't watched it at all since....

I love Whoopi but I really think she is just as opinionated as Rosie! Isn't that why nobody wanted Rosie on there?

That is so funny!! Love the way you put it. I think Whoopi will be good on The View. She is opinionated but she doesn't 'carry a chip on her shoulder' like Rosie did. And I heard too that Sherry Shepherd will be a co-host also. I read that the other day. Can't remember where but it said Whoopi would take the main moderator's place and Sherry will co-host with the others. I really like Sherry. I think she will add a great deal, too.

I don't know - I think it was pretty accurate.

Whoopie gets the same message across - she's a hysterical person without the nonstop mean streak, IMHO.

I am very happy about this decision. I'll be tuning in!

Personally I do think that was a classy way to put it. I can think of many other ways to explain Rosie's attitude and opinions but I think most of them would have appeared like this ***** on the boards.

I couldn't stand Rosie, but I love Whoopi... I will definitely start tuning in with her on the show.

Whoopi offers Class to whatever show she is on--something that Rosie has to look up in a dictionary that's bigger than her mouth.
