Does anyone live in Manhattan, Kansas? I need some help!!

My husband and I both work full time. We currently live in Idaho, and will be moving to Manahattan, Kansas the day before school starts. The board of education adn the schools there (3 near my new address) do not have voice mail, and we are trying to figure out where our daughters will be going to school. Does anyone know how we can find this out? It is impossible to fcall during our work hours, and we will be arriving on Aug 15. I am afraid we are going to end up driving from school to school on their first day to figure out which one they belong at!! We have lived all over the country, and have never had this problem before. The people we are renting for do not know what school we are zoned for, and the school district site doesn't have any boundary maps for zoning areas. I hope someone can help!!

before we moved here I pulled up the closest school to my new address in my kids grade lvl and emailed the principal she let me know which schools mine would be going to. Just remember when you get there where you put all the kids birth certificats and stuff so you wont start freaking out like I did lol i couldnt remember where I had put them, luckily I found them and safe in my desk til school day

You could maybe call the County School Superintendent's office -- phone number would be online at Yellow Pages and Online Phone Book : DexKnows.com (I'd hope!).

Hello, I live in a town close to Manhattan Kansas. I cannot tell you school districts but wanted to offer you any other help or answer any questions you may have about the area. I do most of my shopping in Manhattan so I know a little bit but not everything. I would start with the school by emailing the administration of the school and I am sure they can tell you the district you will live in. I hope I am allowed to put his info on here but if not you can find it on the school website page. Welcome to Kansas.

I would also not be worried if your kids are a few days or a week late with starting school.

You need to find someone who can make the calls for you during the work day. If they have no voice mail or email addy then you are pretty stuck contacting during the business day. The website above does have an email addy for school info.

You might try to call a church in the neighborhood...most likely they know which schools the kids attend and they might hook you up with a mom that is a member for some help.
