My younger brother & his wife have had their first child - and are now searching for in home daycare at their house but they want to know what a reliable site is that they can use for searching applicants backgrounds.

He unfortunately didn't do his homework first and signed up for that Net Detective and found that it really is bogus!!!!

So if anyone knows of a legitimate site out there that can provide accurate information please let me know!!!

They want to be sure they get someone they can truly trust with their first child!!!

I don't know about your state, but in Montana, you can go to the state Dept of Justice and pay a fee to have a criminal background check ran. It can tell you not only a person's criminal history (what crime they were accused of committing, the disposition--convicted, suspended, etc., sentence -if applicable, etc.) but also their driving record.
