Making lunches every day, checking homework, running out to get supplies for the project due tomorrow, reviewing and signing Monday folders, college applications....I get tired just thinking about it.... Oh, that wasn't what you were talking about....LOL |

not feeling guilty when I 'm working at home! I work at home in the morning...have to have orders processed before 10am so they can ship out. I always feel bad because I am busy every morning. So once school starts, not more guilt I can shop without the kids and whatever else

LOL! No, no, no, don't think about THOSE things, just the good stuff! At least we'll have more energy to DO those things after having the day to relax in the book store right?

Usually I have a day a consignment/goodwill shopping all by myself. Everyone else complains about going to both of those places with me. I take my time and hit every shop in the area. I have a nice lunch at Olive Garden all alone. I take a book and sit there and relax throughout my whole lunch. Mine are older so I have been doing this for a while now. It kinda like my own little Whoorahh that they are back in school.

I am taking a couple of weeks to chill and do my own thing before I accept any subbing jobs. My summer was spent doing kids' things and they like to be at home so I feel cooped up a lot while they are on summer break. I honestly do miss them but I always enjoy having the routine of school -- it's good for ALL of us. One of my favorite things to do is to have breakfast or lunch with friends. I also enjoy stopping by the local coffee shop and enjoying a 'special' cup of coffee -- profits at the coffee shop benefits the local homeless shelter. I also enjoy doing the thrift stores and just hunting for goodies... I also get back into couponing and buying things for the food bank. I spent the first day that the kids went to school on horseback (that's my favorite thing to do). I have no problem keeping busy... in fact, I overdid yesterday and was exhausted by the time the kids came home. I'll readjust, no problem! LOL. |

Going shopping with just the little guy. He's just getting into the toddler stage so pretty good in a store. We're going to Target, Dollar Tree, grocery shopping, etc. Maybe I'll keep going to our girls lunch out but he's not great at restaurants so we'll see. Also back to my once a week Starbucks!!!

I'm set to paint my laundry room and a bathroom. Even have a stripe of color on the wall already! I also have a ton of landscaping work to do outside - I still haven't planted grass on the sides and part of the back yard so I plan on attacking that when school starts too! I feel guilty doing these things when my son is home - I want to spend as much time with him before school starts so I'm saving these "chores" for when he's away all day.

What am I looking forward to the most? Getting to bed at a reasonable hour! My kids are big - 16, 18 and 21 and I can't go to sleep until they're all home. Back to school means no more late nights during the week, although it means I go back to work too. I guess you have to take the good with the bad!
