I got my first Social Security check today!
As long as it involves receiving money, I am not going to cry about being old!!!

crap-I'm only 37, but I feel like I'm about 90-that should count for something-where do I sign up? lol...

But really, DS and I were talking about this the other day as he has just now starting his first job. He was complaining about SS and complaining about the amt. taken out of his check ( a pittance really). But for those of us who are years away and paying into it, do you all ever think we'll see a dime of that $$, or are we just contributing to our elders at this point? And for those of you who are getting those checks, I don't begrudge you one dime, I'm just not holding my breath that I will ever see any of it.

I alway think some one is old if they are older than me! but I'm not old.......well at least not to me
