I actually have both hookups in my house and I chose to run the electric one. I dont know about in your area but in mine the gas prices are through the roof!!

Since I don't have gas available in my area, I went with electric.

I had hook ups for both and I choose gas. It is more efficient for drying clothes. Right now gas is more expensive than electric rught now, but in the long run, gas prices will drop.
