Thumbs up Help a School in Need

This is an excellent sight to see if your school, or schools in your area are requesting something. Also,if you don't see your school on here, be sure to mention it to them, they may not know about it.

If you do a google search, and type in " i love schools" it will bring you there. If you use the web address and leave off the "s" it brings up a freaky sight, sorry. but, yes, it is a real sight.

iLoveSchools.com - Free Teacher Equipment, Supplies and Materials hope this link works.

I found one of the teachers at our school with a wishlist. DANG, wish she had told me what she needed. I have some of it here, gonna ask tomorrow if her list is current and help her out.

I checked, but the only one around here was one home schooler looking for 2 computers and a bunch of other smaller things? I know there are a lot of home schooled kids and parents here that home school and nothing against it, but I am not giving you a computer.

Our preschool had a really good idea last year, they hung a construction paper tree up in the hallway with leaves on it and on each leaf was a wish from a teacher. There were 3 teachers and 3 colors of leaves to choose from, so you could choose your teacher or one of the other teachers if you wanted. Those leaves DISAPPEARED, the parents grabbed them up and brought everything in the same week, it was a great idea! They had everything listed from an extra snack to food for the girble, to stickers, etc. I took a couple because I had some stockpile stuff home from Staples and things like that and I got to choose what I wanted and could afford to donate. If your school isn't on this list, maybe it would work for you like it did for us, same idea really.

What a wonderful site. I'm going to share it with the PTA.
Thanks, OP.

There are no schools listed for my entire zip code. I'm willing to bet my kids' schools don't even know about it, so, I'm going to bring it up with our SAC group and the PTA.

I think it's a great way to get rid of stuff, and help the kids and teachers, at the same time.

DO NOT click on the link in Sphillips post. I have no idea why, but, this link takes you to a "different" sight. When I made the post, I put in what I thought was the web address, then figured I'd better double check. Well, sure enuf, I left the "s" off the end. I "edited" the original link by adding the "s", so, it LOOKS to be the correct address, but, when you click on the one Sphillips quoted, you will notice the "s" is off the web address in your browser. I guess since I added the "s" to the wrong link, the wrong link overrides it???? I don't know, and can't explain it. Anyway......I skipped a few lines, and then put in the address with the "s" and you get the correct sight. If you click on this: iLoveSchools.com - Free Teacher Equipment, Supplies and Materials you should be fine.
