The IRS would never contact just thru e-mail. You will always get a snail mail. All goverment offices work that way.

Yeah, I had checked it out at snopes.com and knew it was a phishing email.

But snopes says that many taxpayers have been duped by this email

It amazes me that in this day and age people are still clicking on links in their emails without checking them out first.
