Do you have a recurring dream / nightmare?

I have two dreams that I have frequently:

1. I am in a elevator, it doesn't go to the floor I want, and when the doors open it's halfway between floors (Like the beginning scene in the movie "Speed" when the people are being rescued from the elevator). It's not scary, just frustrating because I am trying to get to a certain floor, but the elevator won't respond.

2. I am in a public bathroom either without doors on the stalls, or the doors are short. I can see over, people can see in, but no one seems to care.

Strange, I know. Just curious to know if others are having crazy dreams too.

I have had a really bad one on and off for years. I am driving a black car, i know this cause I can see the hood through the windshield, I am going around a curve on the side of a mountain and see a blue truck comming in the opposite direction after I see the truck all I see are flashing lights and I hear a male voice say "we lost her" its very spooky

I have had this dream several times. I am in college and it's the end of the semester with finals. I realize that I have skipped a lot of classes and not done the work that was required. I am panicking since I know that I won't pass the finals and I procrastinated too much.

I probably have this dream when I am stressed and have procrastinated something.

I also associate that dream to when I am over-stressed.

1- A glass elevator that is falling with me in it!
2-My teeth start falling apart for no reason and I spit out a mouthful of teeth. This one scares me the most and I don't know why. I am terrified of losing teeth I guess.

I used to have the losing teeth dream too!! And I'd spit out a handful of teeth. Wonder what it means.

I've had the losing teeth dream a lot of times, too. I ocassionally have dreams about my husband being horribly mean to me and treating me like he could care less about me - eek! He told me the other day he didn't want me telling him when I had these dreams anymore.

OT, but did you ever dream that your DH was mean to you and you wake up feeling really hostile towards him, and can't shake it? That has happened to me.

Dream Moods: Common Dreams: Falling Teeth

Just found this on-line and it is very interesting relative to dreams. Kind of fun to decipher the unconscious mind

My dream takes place in different places but always in a large building, usually with lots of floors, rooms, stairways, elevators, and hallways. I am always trying to get out. Sometimes I dream of the same building so often that I can get out easily. If it's a "new" building, I cannot find my way out. If and when I do get out, I have a hard time finding my car. There are usually several parking areas and I can't remember where I parked. Sometimes I realize that I have come out the wrong door and have to go back in and find my way to the right door. I usually find my car but I can't remember ever driving.

That's the one re-occuring dream that bothers me the most.
There are others tho.

I had the worse dream I think I ever had last night, this was the second time I've had this dream and I am hoping i never have it again. In it I was at home and I saw three black SUVs with tinited windows park across the street from my house, I paid no attention to it because I live across from a car dealer. But then my doorbell rang and it was the president and two men in militaty uniforms. They said they needed to talk to me so I invited them inside and we went into the livingroom. I noticed the entire time the president was holding a folded flag and a bag of chipsahoy cookies. When we sat down one of the men held my hand as the president told me he was sorry to inform me that they lost my son in the war. (my son is 15) I remember screaming and saying no he cant be gone, I just let him start going across the street and to his friends house on his own, I never gave him permission to cross the ocean. The other man said he was with my son and if its any comfort the last thing my son said to him was "Give my mom my cookies" so then they handed me the cookies and flag and left. I woke up after that. I woke my son up this morning just to hear his voice, he wasnt too thrilled hearing from me at 630am but it made me feel better

OMG I hate the dead child dreams. I've only had them a couple times but yes I woke my son up to check on him. Even though I could hear him snoring loud and clear.

I have had a dream that I was walking up to a scene of an accident and there were flashing lights and it was dark outside, I walk up and there is my daughter laying there and they are putting her in a body bag. It was suppose to be her as a teenager. I remember feeling like my heart had been broken into a million pieces. She is 12 now and it worries me for the future. That dream was just one time but I will never forget it. I hope that never comes true.

Those kid dreams are scary.

I have the rotting, falling out teeth dream sometimes also. Some other common dreams are the school one where I can't find my locker, can't remember my schedule, have forgotten to go to class, etc. Another one I used to have quite often was of a man standing over me looking down at me while I was in bed. Another one I used to have often was of my house being on fire on all sides and not being able to get out.

I have several reoccurring dreams! Many of them already listed.

I have the bathroom one, where there are no stall doors, short doors, or no stalls at all - just a bunch of toilets. In those dreams, no one (other than ME) seems to care. (I HATE these dreams!!)

I also dream often about school - not being able to find my locker, forgetting the combination, not attending classes & then having to take the final exams, forgetting my books, not being able to find my classes, forgetting what/where my next class is, etc.

I've also recently been dreaming about being in an elevator and having it fall several stories. I've only had this one two or three times.

Oh, the teeth dream... I have that one a LOT! I used to only dream that I'd lose one or two teeth; but now I dream that I lose a mouth-full, and that they just keep falling out one by one.

And, yep; I dream about my husband being mean to me, that he's cheated on me, or divorced me, then I wake up feeling hurt and angry. So now whenever I say to my husband, "I had a bad dream last night," he says, "What'd I do now?" LOL

I've also been dreaming lately about being caught in a tornado. This is a new reoccurring dream for me.

The only other one I can think of is the one where I'm being chased; and I can't get away/escape either because I'm unable to run because one leg is shorter than the other or because there's an extremely bright light shining in my eyes so I'm not able to see.

There may be more, but that's all I can think of right now.
