| How many states have you been in?
We are hoping to visit all 50 states and only have 5 to go. They are............ Montana Utah Idaho North Dakota Hawaii We have been to Mexico for about an hour (silly story) and have been to Canada a few times but would like to see more areas. In the summer of 2009, we hope to visit Montana, Utah, Idaho and No. Dakota. I don't know if we weill ever make it to Hawaii! My favorite states are New York (not City) and New Mexico. We live in Kentucky. How about you?

Wow! I have been to every state west of the Mississippi except for Louisiana and North Dakota. I have only been east as far as Ohio (Wisconsin, Illinios, INdiana, Michigan and Ohio). Good luck on your quest!

I have been to North Dakota South Dakota Wyoming Colorado Utah Nevada Arizona California Hawaii I have also been to Mexico. The only reason I have been in some of those states was because we would drive from California to North Dakota to visit my Grandparents. |

I have been to 33, DH and I are planning on visiting all 50. Our rule is that you actually have to sleep one night in the state to count, not just a drive thru. Alaska is one that both of us can't wait to visit, we plan on taking an Alaskan Cruise in the next couple of years.

I have been to 18 so far, everything on the east coast except RI and then Michigan, California and Hawaii. Also to Canada but just for the day. Fun post!

I guess that I've been to 37 states + Mexico and Canada. I have not spent the night in each of them however - some were drive or fly throughs. The 13 that I have not visited (YET!) are: 1. Alabama 2. Alaska 3. Arkansas 4. Hawaii 5. Idaho 6. Minnesota 7. Mississippi 8. Montana 9. Nebraska 10. North Dakota 11. Oklahoma 12. South Dakota 13. West Virginia Like several others, the place that I haven't visited yet that is my dream is Alaska. Should be able to knock off WV easily someday given that I own a piece of land in western Virginia.... As an aside.....did anyone else learn the song "50 Nifty United States" (RAY CHARLES - FIFTY NIFTY UNITED STATES LYRICS) as a grade schooler? To this day, I can list the 50 states in alphabetical order by having learned that song. LOL. cj/ ETA: Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, South Carolina are my fly-bys....SC I definitely want to visit though!

I never thought I would see so many states. When I got married at the age of 22 in 1974, I had never been to any other state than Wisconsin. On our honeymoon, we went back with my dh's sister to Texas for my first trip (first time on an airplane). Since then we have moved to MD, our sons live in IL and TX so we have flown all over. |

44. I still need to get to Alaska, Louisiana, Mississippi, Delaware, Rhode Island and New Jersey. The current plan is to get to the five other than Alaska in the next year or two, then hit Alaska in 2010. I've also been to England, France, Iceland, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Bahamas, Belize, Barbados, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten and Martinique. |

I've been to 17. Kansas Missouri Florida Georgia Arkansas Iowa South Dakota Nebraska Oklahoma Texas New Mexico Arizona Colorado Wyoming Nevada Calfornia Hawaii I've been through the edge of some or the airport, but don't count them. Also, Virgin Islands, Grand Cayman, Bahamas, St. Maarten, Antigua, Jamaica, Mexico and Puerto Rico. I was 19 before I went anywhere besides Kansas & Missouri. My parents didn't travel then and don't travel now - not something they're interested in. DH and I plan to visit as many as we can while the girls are home and then all of them eventually. Lisa

Georgia 13. Florida 14. Alabama 15. Louisiana 16. Kansas 17. Washington DC I think that's it, so 17. I would love to visit every state. We were "What If'n" (about the lottery) and the rest of the family thought I was crazy because I wanted to visit every state. We've been to: New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and DC. I've also been to Canada three times. South Carolina and Florida were probably my fave places.

I have been to 39....some of them just pass throughs....but my dh is military and we moved from NC to Alaska and drove the entire way.....then drove down to Alabama from Alaska once our 3 years was up. We also did a 3 year stint in Hawaii......I just have a few Northeastern states to cover then we will have hit them all. Alaska is definitely the best so far!!!!!!

DH and me have been to: 1- Illinois ( lived there) 2- Wisconsin 3- Michigan 4- Missouri (St. Louis) 5- Indiana 6- Florida ( Ft lauderdale, Universal Studios and Walt Disney world) 7- Texas ( we live here) 8- Nevada ( Las Vegas ) 9- Luisiana ( New Orleans) 10- New Mexico ( Santa FE ) 11- Arizona ( Grand Canyon) 12- Oklahoma ( Tulsa ) 13- Arkansas ( Musfurre sp? its the place where you dig for diamonds) 14- California (lived there and visited Disneyland ) We still have many more to visit but on each vacation we try to visit a state for a week and explore it, the only two that may be hard to go to are Alaska and Hawaii. |
