I am not really a complainer, but today just isn't my day. First they never picked up my garbage yesterday, so I had to call and ask what was going on. I wasn't mad, I didn't even care if they came today, but just give me a credit for the missed day. What a snot I got to talk to, so at the end of the call I got to take an interview and lets just say she did not get a great review from me.

Then, also yesterday, the county workers drove a machine (wheel loader) on our lawn down by the road and ripped the grass up. That wasn't so bad even, but they dumped a bunch of brush behind our guard rail? They were taking a tree down(not on our property, down the road a little) and there are 2 piles of brush that wasn't there the day before. We own a few acreas on the corner of a county and town road and I couldn't see them from the house, but the neighbor was down mowing his side and saw them. Apparently he said something to the one guy and he just shrugged his shoulders.

I am debating calling the county and asking them to come pick the brush up, it looks junky. Would you complain or let it go?

I would definitely complain. It would be one thing if the brush was on your property to begin with, obstructing the road or telephone wires or something like that, and they cleared it and left it on your property, but to have been from somewhere else, and then to leave it on your property is another. They had no right to do that. You should call them and ask for it to be removed immediately.

It could also become a fire hazard.

I would call and politely ask if they can come down and remove the brush that was dumped. Perhaps they didn't know it was private property....or maybe it is frontaage and/or easement or something (you mention a guard rail) and they thought it was town property. In any event, it can't hurt to ask! Maybe find out what the policy is on this while you are at it...

I would call and ask questions...if they were planning on coming back and picking up the brush left behind yesterday? Maybe they have a different department to come and clean up? Depending on the answer, I would complain and demand that it be cleaned up.

I would call the county & request to brush to be picked up. The county wouldn't hesitate to notify you to clear the brush if you had put it there!

Well, you all talked me into it! I called and could NOT find the right department, I went around and around on the stupid press this number phone thing. I will try again on MOnday. I htink they make it hard to find them , they don't want to hear complaints!

When you call back on Monday, press '0' for operator when you get the automated system. If that doesn't work, just press whichever one is first and when that person answers tell them what you need and let them connect you to the right place.
