Not today, but yesterday :

DH and I took our son to see his first concert : Randy Travis! It was a great concert, and we all enjoyed it.

The most exciting that has happened to me so far today was getting my new free boots in the mail from OnestopPlus.com.They were nicer than what I expected and fit perfectly.I was thrilled. The next exciting thing is about to happen within an hour or two.We are having a bee exterminating service come and wipe out our bee problem,HOPEfully! I've had this problem long enough and I can't wait to see those stinging suckers get blown away,HA HAA!! They have stung me for the LAST time!

We bought six acres of land (well included). It is seven miles from here at the base of the mountains. We are very excited and have been taking chairs out to sit on the land and dream about the house that we will build some day while the kids and dog roam around in the wash and the oak grove. We are very, very excited.

Getting my FREE orders from Chadwicks, Onestopplus and Kingsize direct in the mail today. I got a FREE tunic top, DH got a FREE polo and I also got 2 FREE pairs of flip flops. One for me and one for my Sister.

If any of you haven't checked out the referral board under FREE STUFF then you ought to give it a look as some of us have been getting FREE goods just like the good ole days but it is a referral thing so we can't post it on the other boards.
Go check it out....

I got a call at 4:00 pm from my lawyer's office letting me know that I do NOT have to appear in court tomorrow for my divorce. The ex's no good lawyer is out of town and since dh and myself had pretty much settled all the assets/liabilities ourselves, my lawyer said just come to his office, read the documents and make sure they work for me. YIPPPPPPEEEEEE!!!!
So today is my last official day as a married woman and I could not be happier.

Congratulations on your new life! What an exciting (and scary?) time for you. I hope you treat yourself tomorrow. Maybe take out from your favorite restaurant and a great chick flick in the DVD player?

I didn't have anything really exciting happen today, but I did have something, well, I don't know the right word. Not disturbing or interesting. Maybe humbling? Or sad? But not really sad for several reasons. I honestly don't know how to describe it. I guess sad for me, and somber. Somber is the right word.

I saw my Grandmother dead today. It was the first time I have seen a dead person. She was laid out in her casket before being flown to NJ for her burial. They had put red polish on her nails and she never wore polish. I asked my mom to have the funeral home in NJ take it off before she is buried.

Nothing really. Did laundry, went grocery shopping, made dinner and talked to my mom. Typical Monday night fun!

Oh...Got pictures I ordered from a concert we went to.

I found summer tops at KMart that were ringing up $1 each. I don't even remember why I had somebody scan one of them because they were marked $10.99 with no clearance tag, but a $5 tag on the shelf. I purchased over 60 tops - LOL - in three different sizes. My mother, my sister and I now have tons of new summer tops.

My autistic child started college today!!!!
Spent 14 hours at the MN State Fair w/*only* DH - very exciting cuz I never go to the fair and the opportunity to spend all that time, doing something fun with him, was remarkable. No kids all day - doesn't get much more exciting for moi ;-)
Had a friend bring 3 of the kids to the fairground tonight so DH, friend, kids, and I could all go to the Weird Al concert there. *Any* concert is exciting in my book, Weird Al makes it even more so ;-)
Won a $10 GC at gthe fair to the pet store where we buy our dog food. Dog has severe food allergies and sensitivities, can only eat a special dog food with salmon that costs $45/bag. That might have been the most exciting part of the day.

Our cat got out accidentally (she's an indoor cat!) and was out all night. We were all so sad, thought she was gone for good... DD was in tears. She's back home now, safe and sound! Yea!

My son moved back home today, and I wish it had been under different circumstances, but I am happy he is here anyway.

I found a book that I've been dying to read (The Rest of Her Life by Laura Moriarty) in the library today. I had looked online and saw it was at a particular library, but when I got there neither the librarian nor I could find it. I kept looking after she gave up, and finally found it. Believe it or not, this was very exciting for me. My, how things have changed!
