Criminy, I hope you're not referring to the cards for Fletchersmom on the loss of her son. That's beyond crass.

So it's explained, there's a HUGE difference between someone losing their son and folks expressing condolances and someone wanting votes to get a shopping spree. The word "apology" comes to mind to the mother for such a statement on a tragedy, but doubtful one will come. Hope the snippy little point that was trying to be made was worth it, geez!

I think there is BIG difference between sympathy cards and asking for votes to win a prize! Anyone who doesn't realize this has my sympathy.

I feel that I know many people and consider them friends and I do feel their pain. I am sure that many others feel the same.

Then maybe one shouldn't be so unclear and state exactly what thread, considering the thread about CARDS to fletchersmom was just two whole threads below this one. It would have been real easy to say, "What about sending cards to kids?"

Also considering, Addison was the one that pointed out "no solicitation" and it was Addision that started the CURRENT card thread and it was Addison that the comment was directed to. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, smells like a duck.......and all that. Guess one could backpeddle after seeing several folks react to the comment though.

Keeping with that consideration, it was a bad time to make the comment at all.

If you read up, you'll see I'm far from the only that thought this.

My question was posed to addison, the mcleader of this board. A question, not a comment, not an attack, nothing more, nothing less. Anyone may infer or read into it what they wish, as is the time bound tradition of this board and some of it's posters.
