We are taking our kids to the circus on Sunday. Other than that, we will enjoy each other. My hubby has been traveling for work a lot lately...it will be nice ot have him home for a long weekend.

P.S. The kids don't know yet about the circus.

refundsrus you are more than welcome to come DH's laying new wood laminate floors down in Master Bedroom (finally) and ceramic tile in Master Bath (finally), He could use an extra hand with moving furniture and I could use one going through the clothes to donate, laundry etc. So what time are you coming ? LOL

At least this is one of our big projects down the living room and laundry room and painting are next on the menu for getting this place ready to sell.

Usually we do the cook-out thing, but I just got out of the hospital sunday and I dont feel much like making Potato salad and those goodies so I think we will try out DH's new Crock-pot BBQ Pit that we got on vacation(on sale less than half price too !) and do some BBQ ribs and maybe some chicken too shouldnt be too hard to do.

There will be much eating, boozing, firework-watching, and maybe some shoe shopping.

Life doesn't get much better than that.

We're starting on Thursday with a picnic for our friends that are in visiting. So there will be lots of eats/drinking/swimming plus who knows what else.
Friday DH and I are going 4wheeling for the day while the kids are in school. Shhh don't tell them, they pretend their sick so we don't get to go.
Saturday - Monday more 4wheeling for the whole family. This is all going on at a 4wheeling "retreat". I think there's going to be karaoke one night. Which is always fun! Lot's off cooking out. I just hope it cools off some. We haven't had rain in gosh I don't even remember when so it's going to be dusty.

Just a fun filled weekend.

We are driving to midstate New York for a birthday party for my grandmother (94 years young). I cannot wait because my father, brother, sister, and nephews will be there and we rarely get together.

I wish I were doing like Kelliiii:

But I don't think I could find a decent shoe shop in the area so I'll have to stick with birthday cake, loving family members, and a little boozing !!

my dad bought a foreclosure house, has been finishing up floors and paint. He is having a cook out to show off his handy work.

So we will go there.

other than that, we may swim

We live in a small town and every year we have our local fair over the Labor Day weekend. We work throughout the year to make craft entries for the fair too (mostly DD in the 4-H category). The fair starts Thursday evening, so we go to that, I work in the 4-H booth this year on Thursday. Friday the kids do have school, but they are all in a parade which starts at 1:00pm (so they all get out of school early). All the school age kids are in the parade walking or riding on a float (which their class has been working on all week). DH and I will both take off work early so we can watch the parade. Then to the fair again Friday night and Saturday night. Saturday we will probably swim and cookout, same thing for Sunday and Monday. My oldest DD and 2 grandchildren usually come on Saturday night to go to the fair.
