Mega Millions is 330 million..what would you do if you won????

I past a billboard this morning that said the Mega Millions jackpot is up to 330 million so of course I had to stop and get some tickets then I was thinking what would I di if I won and the first thing I would do is call my job and take an emergency leave of absence (just till I get everythng settled) then I would quit, I love my job but with that much money it will be an early retirement at 34 I would buy a house, nothing too big but something cozy, a new car, again nothing too fancy maybe an suv, i'd open accounts for my kids and nieces and nephews.I would help certain family members and then throw one huge party and all my MyCoupons friends would be invited of course . I would invest the rest. The one thing I wouldn't do is let them put my name in the newspapers or on the news, I would just let them say a woman from NJ won. I have too many crazy distant relatives that would show up at my door so what would you do if you won

I'm pretty sure with my luck I'd fall over and die.

But if I didn't do that...I would definately give to charities and our church. I'd like to make life comfortable for my immediate family (dad, brother, sister). I would sock a lot of it away for future generations...be thrilled to have a way to pay for the kids college of choice...We would probably build a house on a decent amount of property...that's something we've always wanted to do. We like where we live now but to be able to build a house just the way we'd like it would be awesome. I would also love to travel, especially to Greece, Ireland, England and Germany, where my ancestors are from. My dad adored his grandpa so I would love to be able to take him to visit his homeland of Greece.

The hardest part for me would be what everyone else expected. I don't usually play the lottery and a big reason is because if by chance I were to win, I wouldn't want our families to think we should foot the bill for the rest of their lives...

The first thing I would do (after I had the money in my hands or bank) is to fly to Arizona and buy a house. Then I would get a pink yamaha motorcycle and hire someone to move my belongings to AZ. Other than that I would set it in the bank and roll in the interest

I forgot to add I would not want to be mentioned in any papers or news stations either. I come from a huge family and they would all be hunting me down.

Question is if you win the lottery can you ask for it not to be public who won? Or is this part of playing the game.

I would break ground on my dream home. After catching up on all our bills. Pay cash for a new SUV (one I actually like, not dh's hand me down). After getting dd settled in school. leve for a week's spa trip with my BFF. Dh will have to take time off work to care for the kids.

I would definitely quit my job. I am happy with my current house, so I would stay right here, but I would buy a second house on the beach. I would pay for the rest of my kids college education, and buy each of them a new vehicle. I would also buy a new SUV. I would hire a personal chef, and a fitness trainer.
I would share some with those less fortunate. The rest I would invest. I would let Hubby go part-time.
(He always says that when he retires I can continue to work part-time, so it's only fair)

First I would probably seek medical help as I have a heart attack. Then I would buy a house or two, then 2 new vehicles, give a million at least to both DH's and my siblings, give a few million to my MIL. After all that, I would do what I have always dreamed of, open a Womans and Children Safe Haven, a place both woman and children could go to get out of a bad marriage, a bad relationship and so on.

I would buy the rest of our neighborhhod and build a huge house on top of the mountain. Then I would pass it out, I was watching an Oprah show where they were giving money away and it looked like so much fun to just go to SHoprite and say "hey let me get that for you today" to some unsuspecting shopper.

I would hire my cleaning lady back for every week and a personal chef and trainer like somone else mentioned. I could have enough time to do the things I would love to do, like charity work, traveling, etc.

I better go check what states have this lottery, I am supposed to win, maybe this is the one.!

I'd tithe then pay off all our bills. After that, we'd go get whatever brand new cars we wanted and we would get a new house (or two!) somewhere. I think we'd get a house on Folly Beach. Hubby LOVES it there. I'd help my parents and MIL w/some of their bills and put some back for college for the three kids. After that, we'd invest and live off the interest. I'm not sure if I'd "let" hubby quit his job or not. Nah, he'd have to keep working at least part time to keep health insurance. Plus, I think we'd drive him crazy if he was home with us all day long.

We don't play the lottery so we don't have a chance of winning. It's nice to dream, though. MIL and some girls at work play and they won $200,000 a few months ago. After splitting it between them (after taxes), they'll end up with less than $5,000 a piece.

I didn't even know that! I do play once in a while, but not that often! I called Dh and told him I have to run out to the deli and get some tickets when he comes home. Good luck everyone!

I would give up cutting coupons and finding the best price on things? No, I could never do that.

On second thought, I would take my immediate family on a long cruise. I would quit my job ( only 6 years until retiring). Make sure each of my kids are set up with some money now and some in a trust.
Build a house in Maryland, Texas and Illinois so I could split my time with the kids but have my own house.

You know, I would still be thrifty too. It's in my blood!

I would pay off house, buy a vacation home somewhere in Northern Minnesota or Wisconsin. Buy a nice vehicle that I actually like. Put away $$ for kids' college tuition. Give each family member a few thousand a piece. Give to charity (something that would really make a difference). Deposit the remaining.

One can dream!

Lastly, I would set up scholarships in the grade school and high school that my kids attended. They attended the school that I have taught at for the last 19 years. I would also build a science lab for the grade school (only because I have taught science and they keep promising me a lab).

I would pay off everything. Buy everyone in our immediate family a new vehicle of their dreams, Pay for college for all of our (7) kids. Then dh and I would buy a huge house somewhere out in the country where we could open a foster home for teenage girls. We already want to do this when we retire but with that kind of money we could have an awesome place. We want to help girls who have had nothing most of their lives achieve their dreams. (we choose girls as we have a disabled daughter who will live with us the rest of her life). I would also donate to charity.

Oh to dream....yes, I would buy a brand new home..brand spankin new.and new furniture to go with it. I might keep this house, and finish the remodeling on it....and maybe save it for a summer house, as we live by a lake, or maybe we would just sell it. I would take a much needed vacation...don't know where though. I would buy all of us a new car. Pay off all my bills. We own our own business...don't know if I'd invest some back in, or just dump the business. I'd pay off my sister's home and get her a new car as well. A few shopping sprees for fun, and set up accounts for the kids and save/invest the rest (gee, will there be any left? LOL)

In the following order:
1. Quit my job, DH too!
2. Pay off the bills,
3. Finally be a momm who could volunteer at school,
4. Give a million $$ to the clinic I quit from with a bunch of stipulations!
5. Make sure all my nieces and nephews had a paid education.
6. Hire a personal trainer.
7. Change my phnoe number

oooh this is fun!

well I guess since ishop2much isn't going to post due to her crazy distant relatives I 'd have to win it on my own

I would move into a bigger house near the beach in North Carolina. Put my kids in the best schools I could find and get rid of this butt ugly mini van and get my pink jeep I'd still hang my clothes on the line, compost, garden and kiss my husband as he leaves for work every day!! Then I would plop down near my inground pool and drink my margaritas that my pool boy would make for me

DH and I bought tickets too. So now we can dream...... LOL

The first thing we would do is find a lawyer and turn in the winning ticket under a pseudo name (legally). I told DH we would be either Heaven and Logan Stonewall or Melody and Cary Logan.

We would move to the Seattle area, or North Dakota. We would buy a nice house with a big yard and have a tall fence around it. We would take a nice family vacation, and have fun!!

Well after they called the squad and I got out of ICU...
I would pay off all my bills, set up some trusts with some of my favorite charities...
help out a fee friends..
then i would buy a mountain and set up a compound.. and let everyone i liked and had helped me come and put a home on it at my expenxe..all year round pool and rec area...
put barb wire around it, a gait, a guard, a bunch of dobies and pit bulls on patrol.. and live the good life...
Travel, maybe a beach home, a Manhatten apt...
There would be plenty to share plus plenty to live off the rest of my years..

I would love to be able to help my Gramma out more than I do.

She doesn't drive, nor should she at 90, but she and Grampa were always "out-and-about"ers. I'd love to pay to get all her house repairs done and hire a company to take her and her friends wherever and whenever they wanted to go.

Help my parents set up better retirement for themselves. That's a whole keg of worms I won't open, but I'd still be happy to do it.

Basically I'd like to set my husband and I up in a nice house - not a mansion, just a NICE house where we're both comfortable...set up retirement...then I don't care after that. Anything after would go to helping family members and donating. We're not the kind of people that would want to stop working at our jobs, so after basic needs and concerns, it's all gravy.
