Arrow Getting the musty smell out

I bought a Bible at a flea market and it smells really musty. Anyone have a way to get the musty smell out?

I think you can use baking soda or kitty litter in a air tight box. It will take a few days to remove the smell.

Newspaper or characoal like you use in a fish air filter will remove odors. I would use an air tight container with either. What about putting it out in the sun?

Put it in a garbage bag with kitty litter, tie it tight, and set it out in the sun for a few days. Check it and if it still smells musty replace the litter and try it a few more days. Worked for me.

NO MOTH BALLS! Use them and you will be coming back asking how to get that smell out and the only reply will be GOOD LUCK!

Do the kitty litter...in a plastic tub or bag. It may take a while but it should absorb the odor. Crumpled newspaper does help as well. You might try tub, add kitty litter, top with newspaper, add Bible, more newspaper, let sit.
