I belong to one and I love it. I belong to PaperBackSwap : Your source for swapping books online! You post your books, trade and earn credits and use your credits to get other books. You can earn credits by people signing up under you, but since we cannot post referrals here I can't ask you to sign up under me. I would be glad to answer any questions feel free to email me at hammonds@sirinet.net or I can send you info.

i don't belong to any clubs, but I pass on the books I've read.
I usually buy books at yard sales so I never have much money invested in them.
I give them to my daughter or a friend who both read a lot.
I ask them to pass them on when they are finished reading them.
My daughter loans me lots of good books, but my friend gets her books from the library so I don't get any from her.

I kind of initiated one at work. My dad passes on his mystery books to me to read and when I'm done with them I like to pass them on to others as well. I started taking them to work and they were grabbed up immediately. Now one of the women is bringing me books too. She brought me 4 last week. I hate buying them because the price of a paperback is like $6 even at Wal Mart.

It's not a swap program, but at many libraries...they have gently used books for sale. Most times, hardbacks are about $2.00 and paperbacks $1.00 (at least around here). This also helps the library out.
